The staff arent that friendly, the hotel itself is super cool and has a good vibe, has a historical architecture. But the neighborhood is scary and awful. Its downtown and has its own risks. So if ur a tourist looking for a place to stay, have this in mind that the neighborhood isnt that safe.
This is a truly beautiful place, like a peaceful oasis in the busy city of teheran. It’s a boutique hotel, but you feel more like being in a five star hotel. The boutique hotel Team is very courteous and help you where they can. I felt in love with the style as it is set up and the beds are unbelievable comfortable. The breakfast which is included is fantastic and I highly can recommend to choose this boutique hotel.

A hidden gem in the heart of old Tehran – the Pahlevan Razaz Boutique Hotel.
This beautifully restored Qajar-era mansion (built in the 19th century) was once the private home and personal zurkhaneh (House of Strength) of the legendary Iranian champion Haj Seyyed Hasan Razaz, better known as Pahlavan-e Bozorg Razaz (1853–1941). He is one of the very few athletes in history to ever receive the highest title in Varzesh-e Bastani: “Pahlavan-e Bozorg” (Great Champion), an honor previously given only to the mythical Pourya-ye Vali 600 years earlier. A man celebrated wrestler, club-swinger, and symbol of chivalry and strength, Razaz dominated the zurkhanehs of Tehran during the late Qajar and early Pahlavi periods.
Today, his historic courtyard house in the atmospheric Oudlajan neighborhood has been lovingly turned into an intimate 20-room boutique hotel while keeping every original detail: windcatcher, khazineh (traditional pool), stained-glass orsi windows, gorgeous tilework, and even traces of the old private gym where the champion trained.
Staying here feels like stepping into a living piece of Iranian heritage. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, the staff incredibly warm, breakfast is served in the peaceful andaruni courtyard, and the rooftop has lovely views over old Tehran and the bazaar area. It’s only a short walk to Golestan Palace, Grand Bazaar, and the metro.
