We spent 4 wonderful days at this hotel with our family, including our two young adults (15 and 20), and we all loved every minute of our stay. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The setting is absolutely stunning, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and most of them offer breathtaking sea views. The infinity pool is amazing, and watching the sunset from there every evening was unforgettable. Right in front of the hotel, the snorkeling is fantastic, with beautiful, well-preserved coral reefs and plenty of colorful fish. The excursions organized by the hotel were also excellent. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back!
We had a wonderful stay at Sofanda Resort and Dive. The highlight for us was the house reef right in front of the resort – absolutely teeming with healthy coral. We spotted a turtle and even saw squid chasing each other, which was magical.
The staff were incredibly accommodating, always ready to help with our requests. We loved the outings they arranged: swimming with whale sharks, hiking on Satonda Island, and exploring the waterfalls on Moyo Island. We also enjoyed a quick look around the local town, which added a nice cultural touch.
The accommodation itself is relatively new, and you can tell they’re still smoothing out their service — mainly the lack of food selection. A few small rough edges, but nothing that spoiled our experience. This place has so much potential, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Would definitely recommend for nature lovers looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten-path getaway.

Sofanda & Dive is located 51 km. from Sultan Muhammad Kaharuddin III Airport.
We had an amazing stay at Sofanda Resort. The location is fabulous, in close proximity to Santonda, Moyo Island, Tambora etc. We used this as a base to climb Tambora, but wish we had used it as our base when we were exploring Moyo, Santonda, Whale sharks in Saleh Bay. We didn’t do any day trips with the resort as had already arranged with our tour operator, but the boats looked excellent.
The resort itself is beautiful, with an infinity pool overlooking their beach. The beach is spotlessly clean, and has a pristine reef right outside which provided excellent snorkelling. Some sandy beach is maintained even at high tide. There are plenty of places to sit on the beach such as a swing, benches, loungers. Perfect for sunset also!
The staff were so lovely, some of the friendliest, accommodating people we have met in Indonesia or anywhere around the world! They really made our stay special. Nothing was too much for them, and the special touches like local desserts after dinner, or even bringing pancakes and coffee round the pool, didn’t go unnoticed.
The accommodation itself is lovely, with a well maintained outdoor bathroom, and large bedroom with excellent AC, then a seating area outside the room with a sea view. Plenty of space to hang wet swimwear also.
We enjoyed the food very much, although some options were sometimes unavailable, we understand this is as the resort is newly opened and not yet at full capacity.
