Seagate Bungalows is an unbeatable island resort in three respects: location, hospitality and food. It is set in a natural paradise, with its own bay and spectacular house reef, surrounded by wild and well-preserved forest. The bungalows, all on the sea front, are comfortable, clean and excellent value for money. The hosts, Borja and Yuyun, are a husband and wife team who are naturally predestined to welcome guests and treat them like close friends. The resort has its own restaurant serving delicious fresh international and Indonesian food, and the special feature is that you can order any dish on the menu at any time between 7am and 10pm. We (a group of nine) spent two weeks there, snorkelling, visiting the island, enjoying good food and friendly conversation with the hosts. What more could we have asked for? I am happy to be able to write about the corner of paradise where I spent 12 unforgettable nights: Sea Gate Bungalows on Weh Island. Surrounded by nature in its purest state: the sea with its waves, the majestic jungle trees and even the butterflies on the alley made my vacation exactly as I wanted. To this dream location I add the wonderful reef in front of the "house" with countless varieties of fish and last but not least the utmost kindness of the hosts. For those who want pure beauty, tranquility, fresh and well-prepared food, this is the place!

One of the most beautiful places we visited in Indonesia. From the first moment, we were charmed and excited, we felt very comfortable. Seeing and hearing the sea from the bed is great. Everything is tidy and clean. The owners and all the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food and drinks are very tasty and fresh. It is an amazing place that we would love to come back to again! We definitely recommend! 🫶🏼

Yuyun and Borja have built a magical place on Pulau Weh, surrounded by the jungle and with easy access to great snorkelling (and underwater geothermal activity). The balance between living in nature, and all you need for a comfortable stay is managed to perfection. The bungalow is beautiful, with a great terrace and hammock. A great place to read a book and relax, with the sea lapping at the shore beneath you. Wish I could have stayed for longer. Great food too!

We had a really nice stay at Sea Gate Bungalow! Borja and Yuyun are really kind and make you feel at home. The room is great and the set up is really beautiful! Amazing snorkel a few meters from your room and amazing recomendations from the hosts on what to do in the island! Looking forward to staying here again! Highly recommended!

Bungalow and Location: The place is made with love and care. The bungalow we stayed in was spotlessly clean, the view was amazing, and sunset time on the hammock in balcony was beautiful. Colorful corals and abundant marine life were just a few meters swim away from the bungalow.
Host: Yuyun and her husband were ideal hosts. They provided plenty of recommendations, were very responsive to our questions, and helped us arrange transportation to the airport after check-out.
Their team members, Tasha, Kali and others were also great in taking care of the guests.
Food: The dinner and breakfast were delicious. I saw Yuyun cooking with pure dedication. We had chicken curry and rice, spring rolls, and Nusantara Salad. For breakfast, besides homemade bread toast and eggs, we were lucky to try Yuyun’s cold brew wine coffee, which was excellent. The fisherman coffee, a black coffee made with traditionally roasted beans and brewed in the traditional way, was also great.

Borja and Yuyun have a piece of paradise here at SeaGate! We loved their hospitality (they literally help you with everything and have their own scooters so you can explore the island), we loved the location (super clean + beautiful coral and fish in front of the bungalows during snorkeling), and loved the food (breakfast with a view everyday).
We really couldn't have wished for a better stay. I definitely recommend everyone to come here!

Best place we’ve ever stayed, cannot recommend it highly enough!
The beach 5 meters from the room has some of the best snorkeling we have ever tried. We even saw a sea turtle.
Borja is extremely attentive and helpful, and will try to help you regardless of what you need.
We stayed in both a deluxe room and later a bungalow. Both are amazing but the bungalow has a bit more privacy.
It takes roughly 15 minutes by scooter to get to Gapang Beach where there are diving and freediving schools.

Amazing place to stay. Very well maintained and clean. The bungalow and the room are both very nice. There is a little more privacy in the bungalow.
There is a hammock on each balcony and a water dispenser in each room.
The owners are awesome: very helpful and so much hospitality, including tips and advices for activities. We could always ask.
I have travelled extensively and never experienced so much care and dedication in hosts/owners.
The other team members were extremely friendly and helpful aswell.
Food was delicious, too. :-)
Highly recommended!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Stayed in the bungalow which is new with a great bathroom and an absolutely stunning view. Place is secluded but not too far away from the town with a motorbike. The owners go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. From organising breakfast and dinner to giving recommendations for places to see around the island. My only complaint is that I cannot give more than 5 stars!
