If you are passing through Bandar Lampung and can find time for an overnight stop in this interesting city then I can recommend staying at the Hotel Bambu Kuning.

Excellent location within walking distance to railway station and local supermarket "next door" as well as the street market outside selling the freshest fruit possible!  
In all my travels to 46 countries, the welcome and hospitality received here is certainly in my "top 10"!
Extremely clean & well sized rooms with all facilities provided including operational  A/C and Wi-Fi.  
For a small hotel, the room service with choice of dishes was excellent in speed, value & service!  
Housekeeping restored my room every day to the "high standard" upon arrival — well done to the staff concerned!  
Details like "ice" for my drinks in the room was not a problem — even a casual mention that I liked pineapple prompted the Manager to ensure this was included with my ice the next day!  
This is the detail that surprised me and I will be sure to book here the next time I'm in this part of Indonesia!

Great and affortable hotel. The rooms are very clean, downstairs you have a gym and a restaurant/bar and the staff is really friendly. The lady who owns the place was so welcoming and nice, gave me free tee and a bigger room than I booked. Had a great time there!
