Was checked into room 728, was disappointed as the room with strong smoking smell and looking aged. Requested change the room and given room 805, which is much better.

What an amazing experience with Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla for my family trip during my vacation this time, as usual no complaint at all regarding the facilities and room itself.

Reliable and nice. Good standard 3*. Restaurant is reliable and decent too — staff go out of their way to help you.
Airport shuttle both ways works great too.

Excellent Service! Spacious lobby, cozy room, and it thas a very large ballroom. In love with the pool, because it has a mini playground alongside the pool. Various breakfast menu.

Beautiful service. Rooms are clean. Reception desk services are exceptional. Security guys done a great job too.

Service was great, staff were friendly and hospitable, food was okay (the breakfast steamboat was something) access is fantastic: near the famed gift shop Mubarak.

This Hotel is great, especially the front office (mr. Renaldy), the Chef (mr. Umar), restaurant staff (mr. Riski) was able to handle my request perfectly when staying in this hotel.

The host Yafi was always available to help late at night and in the early morning. He arranged transportation for us from Tentena to Luwuk.

Stayed here for 15 nights while on vacation. Very clean. Mall within walking distance. Manager speaks English making easy check-in, and helpful for daily needs.

Luxury yet classic, typical Swiss-Belhotel franchise lodging. The restaurant served variety of Manadonese delicacy during breakfast. The toiletries and room amenities could be improved.

The variety and the taste of the food is OK.
The Staff Service is very good, friendly, smile and helpfull.
They know their job and make us comfort while eating & talking.

Excellent Value Stay in a Convenient Yet Cozy Location.
I had a very pleasant stay at S Loft Hotel in Manado.

Rooms and facility is appointed very tastefully. Probably a good place for business travel. As tourists, it felt a bit too far from places we wanted to be. But we enjoyed the stay thanks.

I stayed there for their 9th Anniversary deal, the ad got me. The last time I was there was when the hotel just recently opened, so it's almost a decade ago!

The rooms are decent and definitely fair for the price point.

Very lovely family homestay. Good service and friendly staff. Pool is nice and necessary. Great location: quiet and close to harbour. Their diving center is also recommendable.

My husband and I spent few days over there with Ferdinand. We felt at home and this people really makes the place special. We shared time together and it was great.

My friends and I booked five rooms and stayed for one night during our weekend getaway. The golden sunset, with Manado Tua as the backdrop, was absolutely breathtaking.

I really like this place. My room had air conditioning, private bath with toilet, and small kitchen. Owners are great people. Circuit breaker for my room would trip weekly. That was my only issue.

We had an amazing stay. It is quite far from the center and hard to get a taxi out. But the rooms are amazing and the people are lovely.

Only 1 night for a stopover to Manado airport. Rooms are perfect and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Wish I could stay longer 😎

I really enjoyed my 4 nights stay in a bungalow in front of the ocean, clean place and the owner Johan is great guy, he can arrange you boats to islands, transport back to Makassar etc …. And advise

I had a wonderful stay here. It was unfortunately only one night but it was very comfortable and the location was beautiful! If you come to Bira you must stay here!

During road trips you just can't avoid those 1-night-stopovers where you never really know how much time you get to spend at the hotel before moving on.

Great hotel. The owner, Yuse (sp? ) is very friendly and the two employees I saw the most while there, Lena and Ifel, were absolutely lovely. Very hospitable and considerate.

Stayed here for four days while diving with Rumah Selam to dive Lembeh. Fantastic rooms, in person rate was 250k/day. Amazing AC, such a lovely family and lovely hotel!

Strategic location in the heart of the city.

Nice room. Everything worked well from AC, TV, hot shower. It got sajadah but no mukena. Water heater (for drink) was a bit rusty, but there was a dispenser on hotel hallway.

It is an old hotel near the Losari Beach.
It is really close to the 'pusat oleh-oleh' at Somba Oou street.
The breakfast is okay. Just quite weird that they served liquid creamer.

My first trip to the city of Makassar, and as a backpacker staying at this hotel for the first time, I must say my first impression of this 3-star hotel exceeded all expectations.

Stayed here twice for corporate training events.
Location : so great, many fast foods and minimarts nearby, walking distance to the beach (15 min).

Room was great, got upgraded to family suite. Gym were decent, breakfast have much variation as u would expect from 3 star hotel.
Special mention mbak widia that was very helpful.

Arriving very late at night but still managed to sleep well. First time seeing bolsters in a hotel room. Bed was comfortable too.
