I like the place in general except the bathroom! Not sure I would call it a resort but the pool area is nice to sit.
The bathroom handle is a tetanus death trap, and it's such a simple thing to replace and fix. Because the bathroom door doesn't close at all, we asked to change rooms, but the other rooms were exactly the same!
I was always trying not to cut myself on the door handle, and we had no privacy with not being able to close it.
So yea, that and stained bedsheets — the owners need to just invest a little bit to make this a five star stay.
Also, the staff doesn't work on Sunday afternoons, which is fine, but the whole church comes to the hotel to socialize. It was unfortunate that during this time I had the worst food poisoning of my life (not from the hotel! ) and I had no staff to ask for some rice or tea, and listening to the church congregation party while in my fever dreams.
Truly sweet and helpful people. All of my interactions with Susan and Gary were very pleasant.

Staff is super nice … Food was absolutely terrible. Seriously…. We get that it’s slow season right now in February but the place was deserted and the food was all definitely frozen from a while ago…. On top of that it was more expensive than all the other spots to eat in sorake? Unreal hahaha. I’ve never seen so much garlic and oil on our food in my life.
