What an amazing place. Hands down the best holiday we have had with the kids. Breakfast on the beach was so special, a private pool to relax in the afternoon in our villa was such a luxury. Rooms were spacious clean and everything was well thought of. Staff was available at all times and very attentive
Riding around the island with the bicycles and exploring was so much fun. Beach is right in front of the resort so we were sipping coktails at sunset listening to music. Perfect. Highly recomended!

Not located on the beach. You have to walk 10 minutes (or drive with free bicycle) through backyards filled with trash to get to the beach. Only beach on the whole island with a wall! Nice rooms. They are built like huts in the wild. Ideal for getting away with your girl — boyfriend. Bathroom is nicely done half outside. Private swimmingpool is great. Don't leave the door open or you get visits from small animals (nothing dangerous). Towels are sadly dirty. Electricity runs out periodically on whole island. Every hotel has a private generator. This one only for the reception, not for the rooms. There is Wi-Fi and Aircon in every room. This place is more of a get away like Robinson Crusoe. Don't expect luxury. Gili Air is a very isolated island. There are no motorized vehicles. You can walk around the island on the beach in 2-3 hours. Lots of restaurants and bars. People are very friendly. Not really suited to kids. Transport to and from the island is by ferry or speed boat. It is a bit chaotic at times to get there but it always works. Good island for diving.

Quick review now to say I recommend it. More in depth review and photos on TripAdvisor. Only issue is construction going on and ramadan prayers being very loud… Okay… as I'm writing this a rat just ran across the ceiling.

I was very disappointed in Camilla resort on Gili Air. The bungalow itself was very nice, clean and in a good location. The restaurant had very good food and friendly staff. On the down side, good luck trying to find the check in desk. Just turn down onto the most sketchy over grown trail in the bush leading into a middle of a field, yep that’s probably it. Second, I was warned there was construction, but I didn’t realize that there would be hammering and drilling still at 1030 at night. Third, Wi-Fi only worked if I was sitting at the restaurant, it was nonexistent in my room. Lastly, and most important, some of the construction workers were sleeping literally right behind the bungalow. This was very uncomfortable and made me feel unsafe. Completely unacceptable. There were a lot of men hanging around the ally that the rooms are located late into the night. I would also wake up to their alarms (as they were so close it was alarming itself) and they would play videos on their phone late into the night. The resort itself has a lot of potential, but staff hanging around late into the night (if not all night) makes for a very poor and uncomfortable atmosphere. I would not recommend.

Wonderful place staff is helpful, rooms are well-maintained and comfortable, 5 minutes walk to reach the beach by passing in their village, where they all greet and smile.

Nice location. We stayed in the superior villa with private pool and really enjoyed it. We took full advantage of ordering from the camilla restaurant with free delivery. The food was amazing we ordered both days. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have had our entire trip to indonesia. Air conditioning worked pheomenal. The TV in the room had many channels. This was a perfect place to hang out and relax for a couple days.

Fantastic villas sorrounded by green, good vibrations, staff get every detail right. Try this experience!

What an amazing place. Been all over the world but this place is SO unique.
Trust me you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Food excellent and the staff really care about their guests. We will come again.

Scam job, you won't get to stay in the villa they advertise, they will push you to nearby sub-par locations for inflated prices. BE AWARE! As you can see from the pictures, this is not the resort, but they claim this is the 'Camilla Two' so just dont get scammed like we did.

Upon arriving at Camilla, we liked the room and decided that we would like to stay an extra night on Gili Air if the villa was free, since we had an open return ticket to Bali. We asked Isna at the front desk if there was vacancy and if we could stay an extra night. She confirmed and said "no problem. " On our last night, we returned to the villa. We waited at the front desk for about 10 minutes and rang the bell several times as we wanted to ask them to book a taxi for us in the morning. Just by chance, I happened to look into the open office and saw all of our things scattered throughout. The hotel had removed all of our things from the room and threw them all together in a haphazard manner — very expensive things, left unattended in an unlocked, open room. While Gili Air is a relatively safe place, this is irresponsible and a violation of a guest. At this point, we were stunned. The hotel clerk came from down the walk and because we were asking him why our things were in the office, etc. He went to get the manager, Mr. Zen. We asked why they did this and that we had spoken to Isna. Apparently, Isna thought we asked for late checkout when we had asked to extend for a day. This was clearly a communication and language barrier issue — but mistakes like this happen. Mr. Zen said he had no way to contact us — this makes no sense as we filled out a contact sheet and he had been messaging us through AirBnB to confirm our stay. Why did they not call us? No reason given.

Best place to sleep in Gili! I love the architecture and the detail, I will be back for sure!

Amazing. Great pool. Super room.

Not really a penthouse. Service is fairly limited. However the villas are nice but not really quiet. Environment around the hotel quite dirty. Private swimming pool superb but not intimate.

Very good place — for what we have seen on Gili Air, this is top standard. The staff is so sweet.
