Bayview Beach Resort East Lombok

A place that could be so great falls flat due to insane prices on poorly made food, so much chlorine in the pool it had our eyes and our sons skin itching for hours. 56.000 IDR for a fruit plate with an apple and 8 small cubes of watermelon, poorly presented. We addressed the staff who did what they could to fix it but it’s still 56.000 idr for a fruit plate that doesn’t even come anywhere near what that price tag should. Whit not enough options for breakfast we decided to order fruit again since the option was “nothing”.
On top of this a brutal wake up every morning at 05;00 from 4-5 different, very loud, mosques nearby.
In short: redo and make it right! Don’t try to be western luxury, do local and do it great! Right now it’s nothing more than like the extremely shitty road leading up to the gates to the hotel. Don’t go here.
And off course you can answer that the chlorine is within regulations and what not bit the fact still stands; we swim in many pools but only this one had this effect on all of us.

The hotel was really nice. The waves are kinda loud tho, very easy to sleep like that.

It’s insanely good and also has 2 pools.
The showering system is really advanced, you can choose and very friendly for beach players.

Good hotel to stay in east lombok. I mean, there's not really many good hotel in this area. We stay here and go for snorkeling in gili Kondo and the other 4 islands.
Very good place to stay. The room very spacious.

Best hotel to explore east Lombok. Clean and delicious food. Service is ok and could be improved in the way to welcome the guest, to carry food tray, to enter the guestroom and how to leave the room, just small details but could make big difference.

The rooms were clean. My husband usually mops the floor of the hotel room again once we checkin. And in this hotel the floors were spotless.
The food was also so delicious.
The svc however is lacking. The staff didnt seem like that are trained in hospitality. We asked if the pizza uses the same tomato base as the soup, their response is. "i dont know. I am just an intern here. "
And luggages — we had to ask them for their assistance. But other than that. The view is good. And location wise its very close to the harbour which allowed us to go island hopping around the area.

We stayed here as part of a 3-week trip through Indonesia, staying in a variety of hotels, and unfortunately, this was by far our worst experience.
• You cannot order food at the restaurant itself – you have to place your order at the reception desk, which is very inconvenient.
• At 7 PM, just as people were starting to sit down for dinner, the staff decided to spray for mosquitoes, and we were all told to go back to our rooms. Very poorly timed.
• The food was disappointing: small portions, poor quality (the chicken was particularly bad), and our meals didn’t arrive at the same time. Only breakfast was decent.
• The Wi-Fi is very weak, almost unusable.
• The bathroom is inside the bedroom, only separated by a small, thin wall, which offers little privacy.
• Beds were not made during our stay.
• There seemed to be a lot of staff, but they constantly needed help from each other even for simple tasks.
• Nothing to do in the area nearby.
• The hotel is by the sea, but there’s no real beach and you can’t swim because of sharp coral.
• There is nothing authentic about the place – it feels generic.
• The atmosphere shown on the website does not reflect the actual experience at all.
• Be aware that there are multiple mosques nearby, and loud chanting starts around 5 AM, all at the same time — bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
On a positive note, the hotel does have a lot of potential.
