We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is gorgeous but the staff are the star of the show. So friendly. So helpful. Restaurant is great. Breakfast is fabulous. Pool beautiful. Beach walks. Spa is good value too. We loved our pool villa. Would definitely recommend. Come soon — this is the real Bali.

Wakagangga Resort is a true hidden paradise. 😍🌴The villas are spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by rice fields and the ocean. The atmosphere is peaceful and far from the tourist crowds, perfect for those seeking authenticity and relaxation. The staff is welcoming and attentive, always ready to meet every need. What can I say, from booking to arriving for 3-night stay everything was amazing. The staff are very attentive and the food in the restaurant is great quality and reasonable prices.
The villa was amazing and spacious. The villas with private pools also look great.
Quiet location to unwind and right on the beach.

The massage and spa was great also, a wonderful 90 minute deep tissue massage and 1 hr facial at a reasonable price.

An amazing hotel. Instant peace and tranquility. Our two bedroom pool villa was right on the beach and we could hear the waves send us to sleep. Even I was able to switch off my mind and meditate. The whole hotel is a place of beauty and peace.
Excellent staff who were attentive and looked after us with traditional Balinese hospitality. Food and drinks were excellent and delicious.
We express our gratitude and thanks for a very special and spiritual experience. It was as if God was everywhere and we all feel blessed for a fantastic time. We will be back.

We only spent 2 nights here but wish we could have stayed longer. It is a quiet oasis. The villas are all private with beautiful plants and flowers. We had our own private pool to cool off and relax in during the day. The rooms are very large and beautifully decorated. The restaurant had a wonderful view of the ocean and the food was delicious! The staff was very friendly and always willing to assist. They clean the beach by the resort. I wish there were more people as diligent about that as the man I saw out there in the mornings. WakaGangga will always be a special memory for me as my introduction to Bali and its amazing hospitality.

Beautiful location, comfortable villas, and impeccable service. The perfect place to escape one’s urban woes and heal in nature’s embrace. Don’t just luxuriate by the beach. Walk the expansive padi fields behind the property also.

This place is truly magical. A little remote but soooo worth it. Everything about this resort is exactly what my soul needed to rejuvenate.

We had a perfect stay. Lovely and friendly staff, perfect for couples. However we stayed with 3 young kids, I wished they would have more activities for kids but overall we enjoyed our stay.

The roads are very bumpy getting here, so it's a little scary riding a scooter to and from the resort.
But, the rooms, service, and views are AMAZING! The staff has been very helpful and kind. ❤️

I have stayed here three times and thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and privacy of the pool villa.
Waka Gangga's beach proximity is a significant advantage.
While the food was exceptional, breakfast options could improve.
Restaurant staff were attentive, whereas Front Office staff displayed inconsistent service.

In our 3 week Bali vacation we decided to book this place twice, and there are plenty of reasons for it:
+ The staff is welcoming, friendly and always on point. Everyone working here is an absolute gem: from the staff at the front desk, in the restaurant, every concierge or housekeeping person, to the people working in the Spa.
+ It's so quiet and peaceful: we had a pool villa which was the perfect, private location. If you look for full relaxation and long walks on an empty beach: this is your place to be. Still, it's not too far from bigger cities which makes it even better if you have a car, scooter or book a tour through the hotel.
+ The Massages are awesome! I never had so many amazing treatments, the products they're using are either selfmade or only natural ingredients — I pretty much react to everything on my skin. Here, I didn't at all.
+ It's just a beautiful place with great food and watching the sunset kinda private while having a drink at the restaurant or at the beach is just amazing.
I will highly recommend this place, we loved it here. And if I can, I will come back.

I absolutely adore the food and the serene atmosphere here. The team at Ibu Wayan is incredibly warm, kind, and truly makes you feel like part of the family. I feel so fortunate to have had this experience and can't wait to return someday!

We expected more from this hotel given all the positive reviews from Booking. Com and a 4 star hotel but we were disappointed about the cleanliness of the room. We didn't really enjoy the private pool as it was not inviting, the room is a bit dated and a bit smelly. The location of the hotel is further out the busy areas which is good if you're only looking for a place to relax. Not much breakfast options and the quality of the food should be improved…

Loved every moment of our stay / nice breakfast selection and lots of choices for dinner, never had lunch / villa with pool absolutely recommended, —) / very good massages / nice long walks on the beach … so absolutely relaxing. Big thanks to the team.

Beautiful hotel with a great view, tranquil surroundings where the only loud sound are the ocean waves.
Friendly staff is helpful and very mindful of any special needs (like food allergies) of the clients.
Great place to rest, but it slightly secluded location makes journey anyway a bit long.

In summary: it is very hard to put one single overall rating to this resort that has clear (and independent) strengths and weaknesses. Please read this review to understand if for your case this is a 5-star rating or 2-star rating. On average, my review is 3-and-a-half-star (rounded up to 4). Strengths: the room and the staff. Weaknesses: the food and the location.
The rooms. The villa we had (private pool garden view) was amazing! We got a huge private pool, the villa is quite nice and spacious, fitted with all the things you need. It is a definitely 5-star by any standards (I would rate it even more! ). The room is serviced twice per day. The staff is very nice and responsive. The resort itself is very nice. If you want to have a 5-star quality villa — this resort is great for that. And the price-quality ratio for a villa of this type is very good.
The Restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant is just at a much much much lower standard. For the restaurant I would give a 2-star rating. The breakfast is extremely basic and the quality is just average. Apart from breakfast, we had dinner once, and again the food is average. And it's such a pity — we would have loved to go more often, but we wanted to make the most of our time in Bali and don't miss the amazing restaurants and food! The staff from the restaurant is very nice — here I am referring strictly about the food.
The SPA. The hotel has a SPA. We went there two times.
