Gorga hostel

I really liked the hostel, you get a very good accommodation for the price you pay. Most important the rooms and the beds were clean.
You can get breakfast for a price, which is fair enough. And what was a life changer for me was the kitchen, there are not many hostels out there with a kitchen you can use.
The hostel is located within a walking distance to a big Alfamart, ATM, Fruit shop, coffee shops and restaurants.
The staff are really cute and help you with anu questions you have and give you recommendations!

I want to rate two things separately: the service and the rooms.
I booked a room in the female dorm. The room is pretty dark and very basic. The air conditioner was a bit loud at night. There are only 4 lockers for 6 beds. The atmosphere was okay, but not super comfortable. The toilet is shared between the female dorm and the mixed dorm. The whole bathroom is outside and there’s hardly any shelf space. I didn’t like that much. There are two toilets/showers for 17 (? ) beds, but it was pretty clean, even though the place wasn’t fully booked.
The service, however, was great. Novena was very attentive and gave me a warm welcome. She always made sure I had everything I needed. She was also flexible with the check-out time and storing my luggage. Thanks again!

The cheapest or one of the cheapest hostels in Yogyakarta and for that value you get a lot. Stuff is super nice, rooms are good, bed comfortable and with curtains and lights, lockers and refill water. Absolutely recommended.

We spent a week here, our friend got sick and the staff were very helpful.
The locations is great close to some nice cafes and bars, good vibe.
I liked having a well equipped kitchen I was able to cook meals for myself which you can’t always do when backpacking. Full sized fridge as well.
The only thing I will criticise is having to pay for a blanket (40K) I think this should be provided.

The host is very kind and the costs are incredibly reasonable, which is why I truly enjoy staying at Gorga Hostel if I travel alone.
The location is quite advantageous and accessible; on Jalan Prawirotaman, there are multiple dining options and Circle K just off the road.
The communal bathroom is clean and kept up to date, and towels are available for those who have a private room. Can cook and free coffee. You can place an order with the host directly for breakfast.
And if you are lucky enuff, you can meet the big boy cat that is very spoil and cuddly boii 🐈‍⬛

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. I was quite surprised to be the only one in the hostel. Nevertheless, they always hang out and chat with me whenever they are there. They also made me feel at home and really helped me out with the planning of my daily activities. Location is also good as there a convenience store and it’s close to all the other hostels and you can make friends at the local bars or restaurants nearby. You also don’t have to worry about food as there’s a few food peddlers by the roadside that sells all kind of street food including some yummy chicken satays.

This hostel is amazing! The hosts are so kind, welcoming and helpful. The hostel itself is very clean and spacious, and has great facilities, comfortable beds, and reliable Wi-Fi/AC. It’s also in a perfect location — quick walk to a street with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. Probably the best hostel I have stayed in throughout Indonesia.
