Abrakadabra Manshon is the perfect place to stay for solo travellers who like the comfort of their own bed — and bathroom yet still like the interaction with other travellers. You have two nice common areas on the ground floor and a nice little roof up terrace where you can admire the sunset. Every day there is a different breakfast. Yip, the host and magic of Abrakadabra is a wonderful person. He can help you with all practical things like organising a tour for the temples or renting a scooter, giving you addresses of nice places to eat or things to see. I was supposed to stay two days in Yogya, but ended up staying 7 more because Abracadabra felt so homely in a calm neighbourhood yet still close to many restaurants and bars. By the way, if you have a little bit of time in your travel schedule, Yogya is a city worth exploring with very nice (hidden) places worth seeing (instead of/next to the Temples). I hope I can come back one day.
Such a sweet Homestay. Very nice japan-like interior, with a beautiful pool, a lot of plants and some fish. We loved it! The hosts are so sweet and helpful. Breakfast is very delicious and different every morning… we‘d come again anytime!

This is my second time staying at Abrakadabra, simply because I love it here. The hostel has such a warm, unique, and artistic vibe, every corner is beautifully decorated and full of character.
The staff were incredibly friendly and always make you feel welcome, which adds so much to the overall experience.
The rooms are clean and cozy, the beds are comfortable, and the common area has a calm, relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. Abrakadabra truly feels like a second home, and I’d happily come back again 💖
