My family and I (wife and 4yr old child) had a wonderful week long stay here. We started out in the economy room, but on the 2nd night we upgraded because it was just too small and hot for the 3 of us. The staff were very helpful and let us upgrade and move rooms immediately. The economy room was very basic with wall fan, cold shower and squat toilet. Which is totally fine for the price. The deluxe room has AC, throne toilet and hot/cold shower. It is also much larger. It is obviously more expensive, but if you have the money, it is worth it.
Everything was beautiful clean and well maintained. Your room would be cleaned as often as you requested and you were given water daily.
The pool on site is lovely. The hotel can arrange tours/taxis/laundry for you. However, we didn’t do any tours and sorted laundry ourselves. Wifi is good. The church next door is a little noisy if you have a room that overlooks the pool, but we didn’t and there were no noise issues at all!
The location is great with lots of food options around a close to good attractions.
Highly highly recommended. I would stay again!

Great place to stay if you'd like to be close to the train station and Malioboro street. It is a classic jogja style building and much more interesting than the modern hotels nearby. The pool is nice and overall we were really happy with the value.
I'd recommend eating at Walters if you feel like Western food or Fortunate coffee if you're vegan/vegetarian, both of which are just a short walk away!
