Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and exceptional hospitality at Amaranta Prambanan Yogyakarta.
The staff here are friendly and attentive. I would like to personally commend Rita from the Tree Restaurant and Ciara from the front desk for their warm service. The shuttle driver (I missed his name! ) was also amazing; he dropped me off and picked me up from Prambanan Temple and he has a sharp eye, spotting me instantly on that busy street!
However, I do have a small suggestion regarding the housekeeping service. I was awakened at 8:30 AM by the doorbell, asking if I needed my room cleaned. While I appreciate the proactiveness, 8:30 AM is a bit early for guests who might be enjoying a restful sleep or a slow morning.
Despite this, I enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway on the hill with a magnificent view.

I had a wonderful experience with Dilla and Jasmine from Loft Moments at Hotel Amaranta. They are exceptional photographers, very kind, professional, and easy to work with. From the beginning, they made the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable, and their attention to detail truly shows in the quality of their work.

Stayed one night at Amaranta Yogya. Nice hotel and great staff. The hotel has very nice view. Breakfast so so but hotel gave complimentary photo shooting. It was really nice. We’re given a photo with frame for free. So happy with the photo. Thank you Amaranta.

This is probably the best hotel view you can get in Yogyakarta 🌄 It’s about 30 minutes from the city, which makes it much more peaceful and quiet — perfect if you’re looking to relax away from the crowds. The overall view from the hotel is absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately, I booked a room with pool access, and while the pictures showed a great view, I was placed at the very end near the playground, which completely blocked it. That was disappointing, and the staff couldn’t change my room as the hotel was fully booked.
The breakfast was good, but for a five-star hotel, I think it could be a lot better. Another thing that bothered me was the no-smoking policy on the balconies — there were only two designated smoking areas in the entire hotel. This is Indonesia 😅 and most hotels allow smoking on balconies, so that would be a nice improvement.
Despite these points, I would still recommend this place to anyone looking for peaceful surroundings and a great view.

It is difficult to know where to start. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights in mid-December last. Our experience at Amaranta Prambanan was possibly the best of any in recent years. The rooms were enormous and well furnished. The restaurant well stocked and served by staff. The swimming pool was satisfactory even if no poolside service. What really made the stay exceptional was the kindness and care of the staff. It was quite exceptional from the restaurant team especially … to the front office staff and drivers. Nothing was too much for them.
Nevertheless, what would have been a great experience was taken to another level as we checked out. My partner had taken ill with a bacterial tummy infection. A private doctor was not available. So, FOUR members of staff accompanied us to the local hospital. They checked he was medicated and then drove us to the town station to ensure we met our reserved train. This level of client care is exceptional nowadays and must be celebrated. We highly recommend that you stay there.

Staying at Amaranta Prambanan Hotel Yogyakarta was an amazing experience. The hotel is very comfortable, clean, and peaceful, with a beautiful view, especially the stunning view of Prambanan Temple.
The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The swimming pool was clean and perfect for relaxing, especially for families.
The restaurant served delicious food with a good variety of choices, particularly during breakfast. The location is strategic, close to tourist attractions, yet quiet and relaxing away from the city crowd.
Highly recommended for family vacations, staycations, or a relaxing getaway. I would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you, Amaranta Prambanan!

The room is great. Big and tidy. The balcony was facing the Merapi which gave an magnificent view.
Other facilities was standart. Nothing's special (except the room mention before, and the entrance from the lobby).
The breakfast menu is good. Lots of choices.

This hotel is up on the hill and not easy to move around. Roads are narrow leading to the hotel.
It's a sanctuary if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place.
I chose this due to proximity to Prambanan temple and view of Mount Merapi. Enough for one night stay. Service staff are courteous and always smiling. Excellent. Breakfast spread was sumptuous and mostly local flavors. Bed was big and very comfortable. Shower gel wasn't fantastic, didn't like the fragrance.

Great hotel. Really nice view and great service. The room was impeccable. The food is just ok. The drive to up the hotel is abit challenging, make. Sure to use car powerful enough or opt for pick up.

This hotel offers beautiful views both day and night, complete with comprehensive amenities and is very kid-friendly, including the swimming pool and playground.
The rooms are comfortable, with both balconies and spacious rooms, and the bathrooms are also excellent. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of menus, and the service is friendly. It's recommended for a staycation with family or honeymooners.

This is the best resort around Jogjakarta area. It is located near Prambanan and up at the hill so the view of the majestic Mount Merapi just across your room. The lobby is an open concept and it is always fresh. The bar is open concept and view was gorgeous. The resort is huge with open space with three swimming pool. All rooms are facing the best view. Even the breakfast room was facing the best view. The food served at breakfast was abundant and you will forget your diet as the traditional breakfast was so delicious. All the rooms are extremely big, most of the rooms have balcony. Choose the balcony room as you can sit outdoor to appreciate the beauty of Prambanan area. The room has everything you need. And they give you four bottles of drinking water and it was daily served. The bed was super comfy and make you sleep like baby. The surrounding was very quiet and there are no restaurant nearby except a traditional local restaurant and the price is cheap. As all rooms are not near from lobby, the hotel provide around the clock buggy car to transfer guests from lobby to rooms. Highly recommended and always want to return.

One of my best stays of this year currently! The view was gorgeous, room was spacious, and the food was also delicious! There are also a lot of enjoyable facilities. There was slight inconvenience during my check-in, I personally think the service needs to be improved but other than that it was an amazing stay overall! heavily recommended for people who are finding a stay with a gorgeous view in Prambanan.

My goal for staying with my family is for a staycation. I am a smoker, and I chose this hotel hoping I could smoke on the balcony while enjoying the view. However, it turns out that smoking is not allowed on the balcony, and I did not clearly see this when I booked the hotel online.
I think this is the first time I've encountered a hotel where smoking is not allowed on the balcony. It should have been clearly stated on the online application that smoking is not permitted in the rooms and on the balcony.
