I stayed at Hotel Horison about two weeks ago. I booked the room through the Traveloka app.
Horison has two room types: one with AC and another one that uses an air cooler instead. The air cooler was actually okay, although it was a little difficult for me to sleep at first because I’m not used to it. But I could still tolerate it.
What felt less comfortable for me was the mattress. It might have been a bit too soft, so when lying down, it felt like the bed was sinking a little. Even though my body weight is under 55kg.
The room itself was quite spacious. If you bring a suitcase, you can easily open it on the floor without feeling cramped. The bathroom was also clean and had a hand shower, which really helped when bathing a small child.
This hotel is very kids-friendly. They have several weekend activities for children, along with indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The swimming pool was clean too, and they even had a slightly taller water slide that older kids would probably enjoy a lot.
The parking area is spacious with plenty of spots available, and they also provide EV charging stations if you use an electric vehicle.
If you come with a big family, some rooms are available as connecting rooms. There’s also an option to rent a regular room connected to a kids-themed room, so children can sleep in a more playful and child-friendly atmosphere.
Overall, this hotel really has a family-style vibe. And if you plan to visit Cibodas Botanical Garden, the location is very close. It’s also near Taman Bunga Nusantara and Lembah Karmel.
