The Lodge Maribaya is often tagged online as a theme park, but in my opinion, it is not really a typical theme park. It is more of a scenic forest attraction, mainly suitable for taking beautiful photos while enjoying the natural surroundings of Lembang. The place offers a peaceful forestry atmosphere, with plenty of photo spots, cafes, restaurants, and even accommodation for those who want to experience the cold and calm environment of staying in the forest. It is a nice place to relax, enjoy the scenery, and capture memorable pictures with family or friends.
We arrived very early in the morning and were among the first groups to enter. This was definitely the best decision because we did not need to queue for the photo spots or activities. The morning air was still cold, fresh, and comfortable, making the whole experience much better. However, visitors should keep in mind that by late morning or near afternoon, the place can become crowded and the temperature starts to rise. It may not be as comfortable, especially when many people are queueing at each station.
This place may not be very suitable for elderly visitors, as the area is quite hilly and some stations can be physically challenging. Walking from one spot to another may require extra effort. The entrance fee is reasonable, and it also comes with free food and drinks, which is a nice bonus. Overall, The Lodge Maribaya is a good place to visit if you enjoy forest scenery, cool weather, cafes, and photo-taking.
Fantastic Stay & Family-Friendly Trekking.
Our stay at Maribaya Lodge's Fun Camp was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious, and the guided trek was a standout feature. They provided all the necessary gear (boots and sticks), and the staff went above and beyond to assist our children during the hike. It made the whole outdoor experience stress-free and fun. We’ll definitely be back!

We picked the Joglo suite. It was facing the camp area. It might not be suitable for a honeymoon during packed weekend, but we stayed on weekday, so it was nice and serene.
— The bedroom was all wood and had no AC, but the bathroom was all ceramic, clean, and had exhaust fan. Personally, I loved it because I'm not a fan of wet wood.
— The staff was super helpful. They changed our sheets and towels, cleaned the suite, and provided us with extra bottles of water.
— We got a free entry ticket to The Lodge Woodland, but needed to pay for each attraction. We bought a 1-day pass + breakfast for IDR 150K/pax. One day is enough to explore all the attractions. Breakfast was amazing but had limited choices.
— There is free guided trekking in the morning, just show up near the reception before 7 AM. Boots and bamboo walking sticks are provided. Mang Aceng was a delightful guide, explaining the trees and helping us capture good photos.
— The pamphlet said the bikes were for rent, but apparently, we could just borrow them. This was super helpful when we wanted to buy snacks at Indomaret.
— There are so many stairs, some of them uneven, and there is no wheelchair access. The staff said they once lifted a guest with mobility needs to try the attractions. So, it's possible, I guess.
— The food at The Pines, Omah Bamboo, and The Cave tastes okay, but it's pricey for locals (read: us). Dapur Hawu is not operational, but you can still visit to unwind or take photos.
