Edensor Hills & Resort in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Edensor Hills & Resort located, and what is nearby?

The resort is located in the Sentul area, away from the city, in a hilly area accessed via an uphill road. Guests highlight the stunning views of Mount Salak and the surrounding hills, as well as the proximity to waterfalls. Near the hotel, there is a local store (warung) selling essentials, water, and snacks, as well as the Highlander Restaurant and Sundanese cafés. Some rooms offer city views, while others overlook the mountains and sunrises.

Does the hotel have parking, and is it easy to reach?

The hotel provides on-site parking; however, getting there can be tricky as the road goes uphill and features sharp turns. Overall, the location is described as easy to find.

How polite is the staff, and how does the front desk operate?

The staff at Edensor Hills & Resort are characterized as very friendly, polite, prompt, and informative. Guests appreciate the quality service, giving special mention to team members Dani and Misbah. The front desk operates efficiently, and staff proactively call guests to remind them about breakfast and check-out times.

What kind of breakfast and dining options are offered at the restaurant?

Breakfast reviews are mixed: some guests find it delicious, while others consider it standard with a limited selection of dishes. The restaurant features a diverse menu, but opinions on food quality vary. While some praise the taste and affordable prices, others note that certain dishes were overly salty (chicken, steak, dory fish), the tiramisu was underwhelming, and the sour soup lacked flavor. In-room breakfast delivery is also available.

Is the Wi-Fi at the hotel reliable?

Reviews regarding internet connectivity are mixed. Some guests report that the Wi-Fi is fast and stable. At the same time, others complain of a very weak signal that makes streaming YouTube or Netflix impossible, effectively prompting guests to "unplug."

Is there good soundproofing in the rooms?

Soundproofing at the hotel is considered insufficient. Guests note hearing noise and children running in adjacent rooms. In addition, rooms located beneath the café experience significant noise (footsteps and clatter) even late at night, which can disturb stays with young children and makes such rooms less suitable for a romantic getaway.

What condition are the rooms, furniture, and beds in?

The rooms are described as spacious and clean, featuring comfortable, soft beds, air conditioning, and TVs with Netflix. However, there are notable cleanliness issues: guests mention black ants on beds and ceilings, a musty smell from carpets, and dust on decorative elements in the "old Europe" style interior. Some guests have highlighted the need for deep cleaning and bathroom renovations.

What is the view from the windows, and are there balconies?

The views from the rooms are scenic, overlooking the mountains, Sentul hills, and waterfalls. Bungalows feature balconies where guests can view the city, Mount Salak, or watch the sunrise. The bathrooms feature glass windows, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery.

What amenities and appliances are provided in the rooms?

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a TV, tea, coffee, and shower amenities. Some rooms feature hydromassage bathtubs. However, guests note that room doors still use traditional mechanical keys, and refrigerators in some rooms do not cool beverages effectively.

Is the property accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

The property has numerous stairs, particularly when accessing Bungalows 1 and 2, which makes them inconvenient for seniors with knee problems. Wheelchair access is available only in the restaurant area, though some guests find the inclines there quite steep.

What swimming pools are available at the hotel, and what condition are they in?

The hotel features a swimming pool that is also suitable for young children. Guests highlight the poolside area overlooking the hills as one of the best spots for aesthetic photos.

What entertainment options are available to guests?

The property offers a restaurant and café with scenic views, suitable for both relaxation and work. Live music is occasionally featured, though it can be perceived as too loud and disruptive to a peaceful stay. Guests also appreciate walking around the resort grounds and using the picturesque photo spots.

Is Edensor Hills & Resort suitable for stays with children?

The hotel is well-suited for family getaways. A swimming pool and spacious gardens are available for children to play. The rooms offer sufficient space for families, though soundproofing limitations should be kept in mind.

What is the atmosphere like at the hotel?

Overall, the atmosphere is described as peaceful, cool, and tranquil, enhanced by nature and the sounds of the waterfall. However, depending on room location, it can become noisy due to café operations or large groups of children.
