ADK Papandayan Homestay & Tour

Private parking is available, but it is quite narrow and only fits about three cars. Due to the limited space, vehicles may partially occupy the roadside. Some guests who were checked into a different building in the Kampung Bareto area used the parking at Taman Kopi.

The staff and the hosts, Mr. Asep and his wife, are extremely friendly, hospitable, and responsive. Mr. Asep is a professional tour guide with years of experience, speaks English, and can arrange exclusive tours, such as trekking Mount Papandayan before the park officially opens, visiting authentic Sundanese villages, and exploring hidden waterfalls. He promptly resolves any issues that arise, such as problems with the water heater.

An affordable breakfast can be ordered at the homestay. Guests particularly enjoy traditional treats such as fried cassava and ginger milk.

Accommodations are multi-level wooden houses suitable for groups of 2 to 8 people. Rooms feature hot water, but no air conditioning, as the area is already cool (temperatures can drop to 16°C). Some cottages feature minimal furnishings: a bathroom mirror, tables, or wardrobes may be lacking. Guests are advised to bring their own toiletries, such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.

Guest opinions on cleanliness are mixed. Some describe the accommodation as clean, cozy, and refreshing. However, another guest reported insufficient cleanliness in the room, mentioning traces of geckos and rats. A problem was also noted with the door in one of the further cottages, which does not close tightly.

Wi-Fi is available at the homestay. The property features a shared kitchen and a gazebo in the center of the garden where guests can gather and relax.
