Our stay at InterContinental Hotel Bandung was truly impressive—from check-in to check-out.
Check-in.
The reception team, especially Mbak Rafika, was incredibly helpful and informative. The process was smooth and efficient, taking only a few minutes. Even though it wasn’t yet 3:00 PM, our room was already ready. We were also pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a villa—an unexpected touch that truly made our day. A heartfelt thank you to Mbak Rafika for making our holiday more memorable, and please keep that genuine smile!
Gift Shop.
We purchased Tutu and Titi from the gift shop, and everything went smoothly.
Villa.
The villa was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed—everything we needed was available. The only downside was that the floor was slightly dirty, but it was minor.
Buggy Service.
The buggy drivers were all polite, friendly, and drove carefully. However, there was one driver who drove a bit too fast and also accidentally hit the wall, which made me feel slightly uneasy.
Swimming Pool.
The pool temperature was perfect—not cold at all. We could comfortably spend hours there without feeling chilled.
Dinner.
Our room package included both breakfast and dinner. The selection wasn’t the largest, but the food was excellent—high quality, delicious, and consistently satisfying. The black pepper beef was exceptional.
Breakfast.
The breakfast spread was impressive and busy. The food tasted amazing, and nothing disappointed. That said, items weren’t replenished quickly, and the table-clearing pace could be improved—our table accumulated dirty plates for a short time. Considering how crowded it was, it was manageable, but it could be better.
Additionally, some female staff appeared to be less active, mostly walking around rather than clearing tables, while the male staff worked very hard. Clear guidance for the team would make a noticeable difference.
Service & Management.
It was also a pleasure to see the managers greeting guests and checking in personally.
Overall Impression.
InterContinental Bandung has its own distinct charm. The staff were consistently polite and friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and the bedroom was comfortable. Honestly, I felt it was better than Gaia and Indigo. If they can address a few areas for improvement, there’s no doubt it could become the best hotel in Bandung.
