The rooms were spacious and comfortable, complete with a balcony. Although our room was slightly dirty in the corners, the staff promptly cleaned it after we reported the issue. The hotel owners and receptionist were very kind and always willing to help—they even arranged a transfer to Bogor when we couldn’t find a taxi ourselves.
There were some insects and lizards around, but this seems to be quite common in Indonesia. Overall, the room was definitely worth the price.
Just five meters from the hotel, there’s a market that was very convenient for grabbing snacks before heading to the beach, which is only a 10-minute walk away.
If we return to this area, we’ll definitely book this hotel again.
Recently stayed at Grand Desa for 10 days, I came to surf and the location certainly did not disappoint. The staff were all incredibly amazing and the food was also very nice. I have stayed all over Indonesia and I would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I unfortunately had to cut my trip short but I will be back!

I stayed here for one night on September 5th, 2025, and booked three rooms: Kalimaya 5, 6, and 7.
Unfortunately, the condition of the rooms was drastically different from the photos shown online. The cleanliness was extremely poor. The floors were sticky and dirty, with thick dust on the bed frames. There were lizard droppings scattered throughout the rooms. The bed sheets and pillowcases appeared yellowed and worn.
The drinking cups and electric kettle had visible stains, suggesting they hadn’t been cleaned properly. The amenities were also unacceptable. The towels I've got are a bit smelly, also I’ve attached a photo of the toilet paper roll in the bathroom, which was filthy and clearly unfit for use.
Please improve your service standards and cleanliness protocols to prevent future guests from experiencing the same disappointment.
