Disappointing experience — would not recommend, especially for families.
Stayed here twice and both times the pool was closed — once due to a private birthday event, and another due to maintenance. We were traveling with kids and the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this place. There was no prior notice or apology.
When we arrived at 2 PM for check-in (as stated), our room wasn’t ready until 3 PM. The room itself was not clean, with a smelly bathroom. We tried calling room service and no one answered.
There were only 2 pillows in the room, which is below hotel standard — usually, you’d expect at least 4. Asked to borrow a spoon and bowl, and they charged Rp25, 000. Honestly, shocking — basic courtesy items should not come with extra charges.
Meanwhile, what should be included (like a functioning pool and timely check-in) is just… not there. Feels like they don’t care about guest experience at all. For the price, this is not worth it.
Think twice (or more) before booking this hotel.
It’s not family-friendly, not service-minded, and definitely not worth the money.

Stayed here on a Sunday night after a long day, and couldn’t hardly get any sleep due to the convention room being so loud. I stayed at the 5th floor and I can hear their speakers clearly. I don’t know whether they were doing a rave or some sort but damn those people kept jumping on the floor, WHICH MADE MY ROOM SHAKES? with that, I can conclude that this hotel has a VERY THIN WALL between floors (and also rooms).
Stay somewhere else if you want a good night rest, especially on the weekends.

In my opinion, the staffs are friendly, the facilities are okay, the food taste good. But I didn't feel satisfied enough when I stayed at this hotel, probably wouldn't stay here again although its location is just in front of PVJ mall. I wish they would keep the cleanliness, make sure that the room is clean and tidy before the guests come. I stayed on superior room, and the bed sheets and blankets had stain and some hair on them (which I requested to change later on). The floors were not that clean. And the bathroom floors were slippery and it was smelly like dampness idk. However, the hotel facilities, staffs friendliness, and the hotel design is quite good (it doesn't seem old or scary). The halls also smelled good. If they improve the cleanliness in the future, I might reconsider to stay here again when I visit Bandung.

Stayed overnight at room 502 and 506. The rooms were upgraded from standard to deluxe rooms with no charge. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Tastefully furnished. However, the rooms didn’t have soundproof windows, and facing the busy road, next time ask for quieter rooms. Breakfast was good and delicious, service was friendly and good.

The waiters and cooks don't focus on refilling the food that has run out. I had to ask them several times to refill it because everything was empty.

I booked the hotel for pocari sweat run. The room was okay, very spacious but I think they gave me the smoking room one, but that’s not really a big problem for me, stilI got a good sleep tho. I really love the breakfast, most of the food was delicious. Location is strategic, near the PVJ mall and some well-known places in Bandung.

After 3 weeks at Hotel de Java, it is without a doubt my favorite hotel in Indonesia.
The rooms are very nice and have a great tropical style and are kept very clean (spotless). No other hotel that I have visited in Bandung keeps the room as nice.
The food, especially the local food, is very fresh and exceptionally good. More so, if you inform them of a specific food that you want they will make it for you.
Finally, the staff is incredibly warm and friendly. It feels like home. Ask for Cheryl. She is very helpful whether you want a specific food prepared or need help with anything else.
I will be sad to leave the hotel.
To anyone coming to Bandung, I highly recommend you stay at Hotel de Java. It’s a fantastic experience.

Great place to stay because near the PVJ mall. The staffs really welcoming. Excellent services from the staffs. The room really clean and tidy. Most important the foods during breakfast really delicious alot of varieties. One of the best staff Elly.

Location is good, as its across Paris van Java. Rooms are kinda small, a bit worn down and our room had a wall view out the window till we asked to be changed. Breakfast included is too Indonesian for my taste and are quite ordinary compared to Indonesian dishes outside. Hotel staff are generally friendly, but reception can be more helpful.

I stayed for 6 days in the hotel for business trip.
The check in was a breeze. Nothing are out of ordinary. I requested a high floor and was given in 5th floor. After waiting for around 10 minutes, I was given the card for the room. I was not escorted to the room, but it's fine.
After ariving at the room, it was great. The view of north Bandung was great to see. One small problems, the door lock keep sounding alarm if I lock it. So I ends up locking using the second lock. And the refrigerator doesn't seems to work. But I don't use it anyway.
For the food, it was okay, some are very great, some are just okay.
Every day, they would clean up the room, so I would get a clean room everytime I return to the room at noon.
Since I bring my own coffee, I asked (trough a paper) to swap the coffee (which are kapal api 2 in 1) for a tea bag. They give me 4 bags every day since then. I was happy with their services.
For laundry, I have total 10 clothes cleaned. And all was clean and spotless.
The hotel was strategically in front of Paris Van Java mall, and next to Indomaret convenient store. So shopping for daily items was very easy. Mixue also a part of the hotel. In case you need some sweets during stay.
Overall, my stay in the hotel was very nice and I have a great experience.

Overall our stay was quite nice. Stayed in the deluxe room and the rooms were quite bigger than expected. Pool was nice as it was indoors. Service was amazing, Elly one of the staff assisted with the breakfast which was quite nice. One drawback is the wait time for the air conditioner to become cold.

De Java Hotel Bandung is one of my favorites. Cozy with larger rooms and excellent service. Situated on one of most busy street to Lembang a tourist attractive destination from Bandung area as well as from Jakarta. So be prepared to experience heavy trafic jam during weekends. However, enjoy your stay in the de JAVA Hotel Bandung ❤👍👍👍
