House Sangkuriang

I meant to post this review last month, but better late than never! Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, has nice aesthetic spots, and the staff were warm and welcoming — especially Asep, who really stood out with his excellent service.
Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and tasty, though the options were a bit limited. The room could use a little touch-up, but it was still comfortable and perfectly fine for my stay.
Thanks again to the team, especially Asep, for the warm hospitality!

I stayed for one night, and I must admit I won’t be coming back for another stay. Some reviews mentioned that the room was mostly furnished with wooden interiors and not well-maintained and that’s actually true.
Our room had a balcony, but the door was installed with a lock type you’d usually find on a lavatory. The bed sheets were stained and had holes; we didn’t bother asking for replacements since it was just one night and we were tired.
What really triggered me to write this review was seeing beds placed in the emergency stairs, which is highly unsafe and unprofessional.
As for breakfast, the choices were limited, and the taste could use some improvement.
It’s a pity the building has a great concept, but the lack of maintenance and attention from the management really downgrades the overall experience.
As someone who also works in hospitality, I sincerely hope the team can improve these aspects.

A great place for a short getaway. Close to the city without having to listen to loud noises of the traffic. The pool is great and well-maintained. The room is super spacious and comfortable.

Found & book 1 room at this hotel all of sudden in the middle of the night. Got the deluxe room. The room itself seems old with the wooden furniture. Need a lil bit maintenance. Breakfast selection quite good with a refreshing view of pool and greeneries.

Beautiful property and good location. But maintenance is a big issue. Also very limited choice for Breakfast particularly for Non Indonesian visitors. Excellent landscape and terrific and caring stuff members, always ready to help. For vegetarians, the food will be a great challenge here.

Stayed here 2 nights at Bandung and it was a quite and cozy place. It feels very homey and vintage, the interior of the room is okay, it’s wooden floors and suitable for bandung’s cold night. Breakfast is okay, not many option and to be honest I only go to for the porridge since other food doesn’t suit to my liking. Other than that everything is nice, it’s walkable to other spots like cafes etc too.

I always stayed here for my stays in Bandung. If I could count, I had been staying there for nearly 21 days at least in total and more to go. Sangkuriang was amazing and relaxing. The Owner shall compliment the staffs and the housekeepings as they were so kind, friendly and lovely. However, please pay attention to the Front Office with middle aged man — it seems he is the Manager of the Hotel, and a lady for the Front Office as well. I never felt welcome, albeit my repeating stays. Quite unfriendly, cold and their hospitality were under my satisfaction. They made me reluctant to pass the reception nor doing checking in and out process with them. Hope the management provides a better hospitality training for the Front Office. It would be wonderful to get a warm welcome from the receptionists that firstly greet the guest.

It was a pleasant experience staying here. I ordered a Siliwangi queen room which was quite large. There is a balcony with a beautiful view. There is a set of comfortable sofas. The bed is also comfortable with 2 thick, quite soft pillows. The bathroom is spacious with excellent lighting from outside. Hot water works well. Got 2 bottles of mineral water and 2 more in the refrigerator which were almost frozen. Breakfast is quite varied and delicious. The swimming pool is not too big but the atmosphere around the pool is very comfortable and nice to look at with the tall trees. The hotel building itself is old but the architecture is unique, attractive and quite well maintained. The hotel's location is strategic with many cafes around and several fast-food restaurants that can be reached on foot. The staffs are all nice and helpful. Next time I will surely stay at this hotel again if I go on holiday to Bandung.
