Review Title: Unacceptable Aircon Failure & Zero Management Accountability – 5 Room Changes in 1 Night.

Room Type: Junior Suite.
I had an appalling experience at Kedaton Hotel Bandung due to severe HVAC failures and non-existent management accountability.
On my first night, the air conditioning in my Junior Suite failed completely. What followed was a nightmare—I was forced to move rooms five separate times in a single evening due to broken or defective AC units across the property:
Room 508 & 510: Blowing warm ambient air with zero cooling.
Room 412: The hotel engineer admitted the unit is programmed to automatically shut off every 2.5 hours—making continuous sleep impossible.
Room 210 (Upgraded Full Suite) : Completely non-functional. Opening the window brought in colder air than the unit produced.
Room 512: The fifth attempt, which was the only room with a functional AC.
To make matters worse, the engineering team admitted they do not even possess a basic temperature sensor to verify room climate.
During this late-night ordeal, front desk staff made repeated attempts to call the General Manager, who completely ignored the calls and was nowhere to be found. The situation was only handled because a duty housekeeper stepped in.
I formally requested a refund for this ruined stay.

The hotel has an older but spacious room, and they manage to keep it very clean, which is impressive. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the train station, and it is also near Braga Street in Bandung. Breakfast was average, but the Indonesian hospitality was excellent. The staff were very polite and helpful throughout my stay.

The room was supposedly deluxe but was nothing of the sort. The cabinet door to the fridge was broken (push open/close mechanism didn’t work) so they gave us some folded card to wedge between the door to allow us to open the fridge door. The bathroom sink was so small.
Also, repairs around the sink were badly done and not what you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre or “Deluxe Room”.
The reception staff were great and even let us check in at 11am. Thank you!
The traffic outside makes the room extremely noisy.
Please fix your rooms and you’ll get good reviews.
