Grand Mercure Bandung Setiabudi

This is our hotel wherever we visited our hometown, stay 3 days last week, and yesterday we booked hotel and got acknowledged by Stefani (hope the name it’s correct) and get upgrade it.
An Accor member, recognition its touch the point of loyalty.
She did a seamless Check in with heartist personality.
Good impression compared to previous check in.
Room in good maintenance as we mostly choose pool view with balcony.
Breakfast was great, simple foods did with passionate, from Bala2 (stay crispy even in long buffet display) vegetables capcay influence by their Chinese restaurants taste was good.
Soto Tangkar, nasi goreng well seasoned and tasty.
If I can suggest need to relook of selection cheeses as only cheddar slice and cube, while name tag showed other cheese like Brie.
Need more love in the bakery side, it’s not have to get the quantity but selected quality, good artisan fresh croissants, fresh baked sourdough, sliced breads it’s would be great.
Breakfast Service was superb, from the lady manager, hostess and Eka who taking care of our table.

Hotel facilities were great from the pool, sunbed, greenery surrounding as picture.
Still our first choice wherever we will visit bandung.

Nice view from the hotel. Bed was clean and big enough also very comfortable.
Just one thing, maybe put more lighting around the pool? So it will be brighter in the afternoon.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Mercure. Appreciated the pre arrival emails and contact and on arrival, a quick and personal check in by Agin. There is much to like about the Grand Mercure. Rooms are big and comfortable, and the (huge) beds especially so. Setup in the room was nicely done so a thank you to Lisa and her colleagues (two other people helped with the room setup, but I was not able to catch their names). Was impressed by the food, both at breakfast (plenty of local choices which is always a plus) and dinner (great sate) and facilities are good as well. Ample seats outside, making it very comfortable in the cooler Bandung weather. There is a nice pool (heated as well) with a cool koi fish pond in front of it and the gym is properly equipped too. All staff working very friendly and kind. One small disadvantage is that there is not really anything around the hotel and you would have to go down and uphill to go to the small supermarkets, which is a bit of a hike. Other than that however, we had a great stay and would certainly return.

Booked 2 rooms last minute before our trip to Bandung via Trip. Com. Check-in process was so easy & smooth assisted by Caroline who is very friendly. We have our rooms upgraded for free. Rooms are spacious & quiet. We have a good rest during our stay. The dim sum at the chinese restaurant was so yummy.

1. Location was a bit out of kota Bandung, to the direction of kota Lembang. However not that far from the city.
2. Room was big. Bed was bit too stiff. Breakfast was ample, typical 4 stars hotel. The view from the room, was nice.
3. The gem of this hotel is the heated pool. So nice to swim in the morning.
4. Staffs was friendly.
5. The downside of this hotel is the shower. It was a disaster. Either burning hot or too cool.
6. Nice to spend the evening at the rooftop bar.

I had a very pleasant stay at Grand Mercure Setiabudi. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere. All staff were friendly and professional.

I give 4 stars. I have a bad experience with a small thing but important for the customer.
A few days before year end 2025, my family and I stayed at this hotel, and we were swimming at evening time. We brought some kids to the swimming pool. Apparently, there was no significant light to lighten the pool, it only had some dot spotlights in the bottom of the pool (like stars).
We thought this condition would endanger our kids activity, because they were swimming in the dark. Then, we asked the reception (hotel staff) to turn on the big light in the pool, (I had checked the light were available), but the reception said that there are no any lights in the swimming pool.
THEY WERE LYING or had no idea…
I suggest for hotel management at setia budi, bandung to check my information and verify it yourself. I was very disappointed with this incident.
This is a GRAND Mercure hotel but frankly speaking, the standard Mercure hotel at Garut City center is better than setia budi.
The Mercure Hotel at Garut City Center is more polite and honest and makes a total effort to serve customers, and I was very happy to stay 2 nights there…

The stay is overall very good, the staff is really accommodating us, and we get the upgrade rooms coming from the perks of Platinum status in Accor ALL in the peak holiday season. The room is very clean and the pool is quite big and suitable for having fun with the kids. The breakfast also very good and have a lot of variety of foods.

It was an amazing short trip! You must try, cold weather, pleasent for your eyes, body and soul. Definitely YESS for warm pools and excellent pool guard. The breakfast oh delicious yet various food you can taste. Quite far from the downtown, but who cares? you can still gofood'ing or eat at the restaurant 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My third visit, it has always been a great experience for me. Friendly staff, great service and great value. My kids really love the hotel especially the pool that has just right temperature. One of the staff Bu Wulan was really helpful, we arrived 3hrs early and the room was ready within 30mins. One of the go to hotel every time I visit Bandung.

The hotel is great with its facilities as well as good vibes and location.
Only the hot water swimming pool which need more hot in midst of cool environment. It was not cold but also not hot as they only set the water heater at 30C.
The restaurant waiter, Ms. Mawar is kind to us and provide everything we need during breakfast time.
Overall it is a good hotel and recommended to come.

Very comfortable, nice clean room and the breakfast buffet was very good. The only thing that stood out was the many families with children. The pool was too crowded for our taste, too many children. But we understand, since it was around Christmas time. Overall had a very nice and comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived, with a smooth and easy check-in process — special thanks to Syauqi, who was very helpful, professional, and welcoming.
One of the highlights was the warm swimming pool, which was perfect for relaxing and enjoyable at any time of the day. The food was also great, with good variety and quality that exceeded our expectations.

The room is spacious, clean, and has AC that can be turned off (really helpful to recover during flu). The location is not the best, and it almost always has traffic. The service is great, nothing specific to complain.
The worst experience for me that let to 3 stars is the food. Many of the food are too salty. I like salty food, but their salty level is out of this world. I thought it was only my room service, but the breakfast soup also so salty. And 2 days in a row I'm upset with the egg station… O asked for really runny sunny side up. 1st day 90% cooked. 2nd day the cook ruin the yolk (the pan always sticking)

Anyhow, great hotel for stay, facilities, services, but I would recommend delivery from outside for foods.

I had a wonderful experience having breakfast at Grand Mercure Bandung Setiabudi. The variety and quality of the food were truly impressive — from traditional Indonesian dishes to international options, everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy, with a beautiful view and relaxing ambiance, perfect to start the day.
A special mention to Fitry from the sales team, who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout my visit. She made sure everything went smoothly and added a personal touch that made the experience even better.
