Review of Ayaka Suites 3*

I'm staying here right now, and I had to extend my stay twice only because I have some business to finish in this area, but can't wait to leave ASAP! What brought me here were the rave reviews about the nice staff and the clean rooms, but so far all I saw at the reception here were cold faces and pretentious smiles and not very nice manners really with only one exception of one of the evening shift ladies! And the room is not that clean by the way! The girl that cleans the room is nice and tries to do her job the best she can but she's also young and seems inexperienced and nobody here is supervising her work! and I don't think that any one here cares that much really about the cleanliness of the rooms or gives a damn about the first impressions of their customers. They will surely respond to the reviews here like most of the hotel managers in this part of the world and they will assure the angry customers that everything will be taken care of after the customer has left the hotel of course, but very little will be done on the ground as we all know. The bathroom here has several spiderwebs on the ceiling and the room itself had a spider web in one of its corners that was removed only yesterday, and I saw several long strands of hair on the floor when I first arrived, and a baby cockroach, but the real problem here are the ants which gather around the food as soon as you put it on the desk. The bathroom isn't that clean too, it has a big brownish stain next to the garbage bin that could be blood or … and that could've easily been removed if the bathroom floor was cleaned regularly with water and soap! The shower has good water pressure and hot water was available throughout my stay, but not from the sink tap. The food is ok, or let's say below ok, as some of the dishes were extremely salty and the fresh fruit juices which usually don't taste that fresh were often too sweet for anybody's taste! The dishes here are mainly Asian, and there are a few western dishes — no Arabic food inspite of the large number of Arabs staying at this hotel — that don't taste good! I ordered lasagna once and it tasted and looked like the frozen microwaveable stuff you buy from the supermarket! It was just horrible. So make sure you don't order this one! I liked some of the Asian dishes but They lacked adequate portions of protein! if you know what I mean ;) and since the food was served on a dirty trolley most of the time I decided to stop ordering from the hotel restaurant again today. To sum things up, I would say that this hotel has potential but it's obviously in the wrong hands right now, and I don't think it will be recovering from it's shortcomings anytime soon! and of course I won't be returning to it ever again, and I advise you to avoid it as well, not the least because of the attitude of some of the people that work here! فندق غير نظيف وفيه حشرات وفريق الرسبشن غير لطيف وطعامه ليس على المستوى. ابتعدوا عنه قدر استطاعتكم وستجدون بدائل كثيرة غيره بنفس السعر وأفضل منه بمراحل.
