I stayed at The Alana Surabaya from December 5–7, 2025. Overall, my experience was quite good. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially those at the restaurant during breakfast, as well as the reception and bell desk teams.
I do have a few suggestions that I hope will be taken into consideration:
• The advertisement displays on the TVs inside the elevators are of low quality, resulting in blurry and sometimes pixelated images. It is unfortunate that the information and promotions are delivered with such poor image quality.
• I ordered Tom Yum soup with steamed rice for IDR 118, 000. It was truly beyond my expectations—in a disappointing way—when the dish served did not reflect the value of the price. At this price point, the soup should include fresh fish and squid, not just three shrimp with the rest being mostly meat balls and processed ingredients.
I sincerely hope my feedback will be taken seriously and considered for improvement.

One of the best hotels in Surabaya. It’s not that far from the airport and an easy access from anywhere in the city. I have been staying here since 2013. I booked 2 rooms here, 1 for me+ husband and 1 for my younger sister. All the staff, the recepsionists, dining staff and all others were amazing, helpful and friendly. Rooms were great with affordable price in its class! I remember guiding a university ambassador here to this hotel for a short stay when I was working as a part-time guide, the service has not changed and in fact is getting better. Keep up the good work.

Great experience to stay here. This will always be my first choice to stay whenever I come to Surabaya. The room is clean, toilet also super clean. The view from the room also good. The staff name Ovi is great at serving us during breakfast.
