Our trip to Surabaya was truly amazing. Started our day with breakfast at the hotel which was awesome! Large spread and great service. Thanks Nurul.
End of the day, the bar at the lobby was great to unwind. The clean and comfy beds helped us relax with sweet dreams.

A highly recommended 5-star hotel. The room boasts a luxurious design supported by upscale facilities, including a plush mattress, a large wardrobe complete with drawers and a mini-fridge, and a cozy window seat for lounging while enjoying the view of Surabaya city.
It features a well-sized work desk and a comfortable, swivel chair. The water heater is provided, along with a selection of sachet coffee and tea. The bathroom is clean, luxurious, and well-stocked with soap and towels.
The service is exceptionally satisfying, starting from the entrance where you are greeted by friendly and helpful security guards, to the courteous and swift receptionists. The meeting rooms are excellent, featuring good lighting, a large, high-resolution videotron, and super-fast Wi-Fi.
The hotel has a strategic location.

My stay in movenopick surabaya, is not a good experience. I stay for 1 night. After check in, I found out the room was hot, AC was on but can not make the room cooler. Hotel technician came and tried to fix it but to no avail. We were waiting inside the hot room for almost 1 hour until they prepare the much better room.
I thought the hotel should prepare the room in much better way, and not selling room with trouble aircon.
I have stayed in this hotel several times, but this kind of service was not at the movenpick standard at all.
Hope they will fix it.

Upon arrival I made it clearly to the valet parking that luggage had to be taken out of the car. Valet parking was going to park the car without tskkng the luggage out of the car. I insited at the check in reception about the luggage. The lady at check in called the valet parking who finally got the message and took the luggage out if the car.
The welcome afternoon tea was excellent. We had to wait for more than 40 minutes to get the afternoon tea. The food was very good, however there was no complexity in the food preparation that would have justified to wait for 40 minutes. We were the only customers in the restaurant and there were six persons cooking in the open kitchen.
At the breakfast, I ordered an orange juice which took too long to be delivered. I finally left the breakfast room without having the orange juice.
The staff was very well aware of my Diamond Status as I was upgraded to an executive suite and I had a table reserved for the breakfast.

A warm welcome at check-in, with our Gold status recognised was a perfect start to our short stay.
The property is well situated and has a number of malls and attractions nearby.
It used to be a Grand Mercure and the renovations have enhanced the look and design of the hotel. It is modern and clean, without being cold. We felt very welcome throughout our stay.
We loved our room in both terms of decor and facilities. We can’t fault anything. It is the first hotel I can remember, where we received a “Good Night”on our television screen, which was a cute touch!
Looking forward to a longer stay next time. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed my stay at Mövenpick Surabaya City. The hotel is modern, beautifully maintained, and offers a calm, relaxing atmosphere perfect for both business and leisure. The afternoon tea was a real highlight — beautifully presented with a lovely selection of sweet and savoury bites, served in a stylish setting. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff throughout the hotel were warm, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning on my next trip to Surabaya.

Excellent experience by Movenpick Surabaya! Nice and clean rooms, great food, awesome services from reception, room service and the restaurant, Ms Vida and team in F&B has been very helpful and care. There is much things to do including kids activity during breakfast time. Accor Plus Platinum benefit are well accomodated from beginning and during the stay.

The hotel is delightful, definitely a nice place to stay! The service is splendid. However, I personally think the breakfast is not that good, though variety of menu.

Despite the location is a bit far from city, but Im amazed with the room layout and new ambiance. Make me feel like stay at home. But one improvement, your gym is super bad.

Hotel's great — room is comfortable, amenities are sufficient and the staff is great. If I had to nitpick, I wished the buffet had a bit more variety and the gym is a little on the small side (and I wished it opened at 5am instead of 6am). Oh, also, the location is a bit of a challenge. It was right in front of the railway track so imagine the noise and there's nothing much within walking distance (though to be fair, there's nothing the hotel could do about that). All in all, still a good stay for the price paid.

Room is clean and comfy, breakfast menu is quite variative and delicious, and there is also free sauna room (not so many hotel have this facility) which I enjoy much after working out at gym and swim.

Located in the middle of Airport and Surabaya City Centre. Room is quite spacious and has complete amenities. They serve both local and international dishes for breakfast. The waiter (Malik) was very helpful during our breakfast.

We held a large annual national event in 32 provinces in Indonesia on May 27-31, 2024, I brought a large group with a number of 36 Fullboard meetings, and we used one of the meeting rooms there for 5 days, called Medang room. At first, I was confused by hotel sales because they overhandled other sales. And finally the one who handled our group was called Mbak Ayu. She was direct to me because I was the PIC of the event. One of the female staff in the Front desk agent section really helped me in the checkin process for my participants, she went back and forth to give me the room key, I love her effort. Give hes appreciation, the hospitality spirit is very visible. And I forgot her name. This hotel is already good because they are an accor group, maybe even more prepared when they are going to serve big group events with a big number of pax so that they can communicate with one door. So far for the room is very good we like the interior. The banquet staff took a long time on the first day there was no one on standby in front of the room so it was a bit difficult when we had technical problems in the room. We were not given any complimentary even though the number of our pax was big and the fullboard meeting… I asked for the compliment only additional 3pax plates for lunch and dinner but they didn't give it. No problem. Luckily our event went smoothly until it was over. But I love the view when the sun goes down.

Good value for money 5 stars hotel in Surabaya.
This hotel used to be Grand Mercure. But they changed the name to Movenpick, both of them still Accor group, but Movenpick name sounds more luxury.
Drop off area is very small and the road is often filled with traffic jam.
The lobby is small for its class but still acceptable since it’s a compact hotel.
Check in process was smooth, they gave me high floor room (1923) as my request.
The room is nicely decorated, looks very luxurious for such cheap price. Bed quality is nice. The view from high floor also good. Shower is quite dark, I dunno whether it’s only my room or not. The shampoo dispenser was empty which is very unfortunate for such class hotel.
Complimentary tea/coffee provided also looks very cheap, not reflecting the 5 stars class. They even don’t provide hand towel.
They have small swimming pool and small gym on 6th floor. The water is crystal clear and cold but still nice to swim there.
Patita restaurant located in 7th floor. The menu variant is standard 4 stars I think. Not so special, but still good.
Overall it’s very nice to stay in this hotel. Aside from the cons, but looking back for its competitive price, I would recommend this hotel to my colleagues.

Staying at Mövenpick Surabaya for my business trip was the best decision I made. Service was started a day before my arrival in Surabaya. I was reached out by Tiara and she prepared the essentials for my stay. Arrival and check in was smooth. Room was neatly prepared. Breakfast was outstanding and tasty, and big thanks to the room attendance/house keeping personnel (I only recall Glen if I'm not mistaken, but kudos for the others) who prepared a turn down service everyday during my stay. I only had this service in Mövenpick Surabaya and not in the other Accor properties. Thank you for all the welcomes and looking forward to be back to Surabaya and stay at Mövenpick.
