The Westin Surabaya

We chose The Westin because it is conveniently located within the same complex as Pakuwon Mall. Initially, we booked a Standard Room for our family, but we decided to upgrade upon check-in. The check-in staff were very helpful, and the process was quick and efficient.
While waiting for our room to be prepared, we relaxed at the club lounge and enjoyed the drinks and snacks provided. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. Since we were traveling with our child, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a small tent in the room and also provided a coloring package, which our child really enjoyed.
With its beautiful views of Surabaya’s city skyline, our stay at The Westin was truly satisfying. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. All of the restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and always greeted us warmly, often adding a personal touch by addressing us by name.
One service that we have not experienced at other five-star hotels is that the restaurant offered guests the option to take away breakfast items to their room. This was extremely helpful for us as parents of a young child, since children sometimes want food from the restaurant after returning to the room.
Although this hotel primarily caters to business travelers, it is also an excellent choice for a family vacation. The hotel is very child-friendly, and its direct connection to Pakuwon Mall—one of the most comprehensive shopping malls in the city—makes it even more convenient for families.

A truly exceptional 5-star experience. The hotel exceeded expectations, and the breakfast was especially impressive with an extensive selection, fresh ingredients, and excellent taste. It made the stay even more memorable.

Such a great hotel. Great location being directly connected to a large mall with lots of food options and very easy to get a Grab to take you round Surabaya. It is about 40-50mins from the airport but its easy to get a Grab in both directions. The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious. It represents the Marriott concept of a double decker hotel (2 separate hotels in one building) but it works perfectly, the guests of the Westin have access to the Four Points Sheraton pool but also have a private pool which guests of the Four Points Sheraton don’t have access to. If you book a Westin Club room, or have Marriott loyalty status, you have access to the club lounge on the 39th floor which serves breakfast, afternoon tea and sandwiches and the general Marriott evening cocktail service for cocktails, beers and wine from 5-8pm and multiple food options from 6-8pm……the staff in the Club lounge are amazing — if anyone needs training in customer service they should call these guys…. They’ll show you how to deliver 5 star service.

The hotel is new, well maintained, luxurious. My room I think upgraded since the size is bigger. The staff also very helpful, kind and willing to do extramiles. I would like to name Karan (Staff at breakfast) that attentive. Also chef Bagus during breakfast that also provide extended menu for me. Well done, I hope you guys can maintain and even enhance it further. I will definetely come back.

My family and I recently stayed at The Westin Surabaya and had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Alya, who provided us with excellent recommendations for great coffee spots outside the city. We would also like to thank Chef Chandra, who went the extra mile to prepare a delicious laksa, some pastries, and additional customised dishes as takeaways for our toddlers. Not forgetting the service staff who went above and beyond in making our stay so memorable.
In particular, the breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a well-curated mix of Indonesian and Western dishes. Our room was impeccably clean, and the overall hospitality was truly top-notch. The location is also ideal, with direct access to Pakuwon Mall, which features a wide range of upscale and local brands as well as plenty of dining options.
Highly recommended for a comfortable and memorable stay.

The hotel is well located directly above Pakuwon Shopping Mall. Easy access to shopping, checkin and checkout was smooth. Our room was a city view room located on level 32. The room was luxurious and well appointed, quiet, spacious and comfortable. The pool area was great with plenty of sun beds. Our only negative was we had to wait half an hour for a table for the hotel breakfast, otherwise all good.

For us, the Westin Surabaya is the best Hotel in Surabaya. I used to stay here with my husband and my little boy for our holiday. Lately we just stayed here for our Christmas Holiday. The hotel is incredible beautiful with rooms which are always very clean n very comfortable with beautiful view. The housekeeping team is great. The staffs of the hotel are very friendly, so kind n very helpful especially in the Club Lounge and in the breakfast restaurant. Foods are always delicious with many interesting choices. By this chance, I would like to special thank to Mr. Vicky the Manager, Mrs. Nila, Mr. Tian, Mr. Bayu, Mr. Sukron, Ms. Sara, the chefs in the club lounge and the restaurant and many other staffs for always provide us their best and excellent services during our stay. We always have unforgettable and wonderful experience every time we stay in this hotel. My little boy enjoy and so happy staying here. We will always come again to Westin Surabaya.

The room was perfect, and all the services were excellent. The restaurant provided the best service I have ever experienced. Their service was excellent.
Mas Syukron was always very attentive and helpful in restaurant and the chef always remembered my favorite dish, the mini beef steak.
The first time I tried the mini beef steak was prepared by Chef Ricko, and since then he has always remembered my preference. Whenever I have a business trip to Surabaya, I will always choose The Westin over any other hotel.

Everything is nice and comfortable.
Hotel ballroom is very spacious with good sound system and lighting. Totally capable to handle international events with hundreds guests.
However hotel access is connected to Pakuwon mall, hence could be crowded. Management should consider adding dedicated entrance to hotel.

My wife and I spent a few days at The Westin Surabaya and it turned into one of our most memorable trips. The whole stay felt simple and warm.

We stayed for one night for a family staycation in the Club Lounge Access Westin Guest Room, and overall, everything was absolutely perfect.
The service from the Club Lounge was exceptionally warm, with clear and detailed explanations that made everything so easy for us. We were especially assisted by a staff member named Mr. Evan, who was incredibly helpful throughout our time in the lounge.
Our room itself was what you would expect from a five-star hotel—clean, cool, and equipped with comfortable beds and pillows.
The restaurant was truly outstanding. The staff (Mr Huda, Mr Karan and the Chefs) were very friendly, and every dish we tried was delicious.

I was touched by The Westin service, even before I arrived. Actually, we stayed here because my husband attended a meeting in this hotel for 3 days. We received a message from Agung one day before check-in, he took great care and made sure we got the best room as we requested. On the day I checked in, we met Agung in person as well. The check-in process was flawless and professional, since we had already communicated before. We got an early check-in and a very comfortable room. The housekeeping was also superb, the room maid Vici always gave us extra water in the room and bath salt to relax in the bathtub, even though we never asked, but he did it. Amazing. The restaurant for breakfast was excellent, greeted by Ulfi and escorted us to the table. We forget the name of your chef, he always ensured our food was nice and offered us another option. The waiter had a genuine smile that made us start the day with a positive ambiance. Well done, Westin, for sure we will be back for a holiday or just a staycation with family. "

It was very pleasant to stay here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel's quality is unquestionable. The food is varied and amazing. I won't forget the kindness of Mr. Aziz, the staff at the restaurant who offered various dishes and drinks. Unfortunately, I only met him on the last day of my stay. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to stay here again.

I stayed at The Westin Surabaya for two nights in September 2025 during a work trip, and it turned out to be one of those hotels that make even a business stay feel relaxing. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and every staff member I met—from the reception to the breakfast team—was warm, helpful, and genuinely accommodating.
The location is unbeatable, directly attached to Pakuwon Mall, one of Surabaya’s largest shopping malls. It made everything convenient—whether you need a quick coffee, a minimarket run, or just want to unwind after meetings. For families, this setup would be a huge plus too, as you can easily find kid-friendly restaurants, toy shops, and even indoor play zones just a short walk away.
My Westin Deluxe Room (39 sqm) felt spacious and thoughtfully designed, with enough room for two adults and potentially a small child. The two double beds were large and comfortable, and the small dining table with two chairs doubled nicely as a workspace. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet (with a bidet instead of a handheld spray), good water pressure, and plenty of counter space.
Although this trip wasn’t with my kids, I noticed the hotel offers a kids’ club with slides and toys—definitely something to keep in mind for family visits. There’s also a pool, though not a dedicated kids’ pool, and a ballroom that worked well for our company event (aside from a brief Wi-Fi issue there).
