The staff are fantastic here. So friendly and helpful and kind. Unfortunately everything else is just a bit uncomfortable. The toilets are unpleasant and the dorm smells strongly of damp. For just one night I would say it's passable.
This is an amazing hostel! I stayed here for over a week.
It's cheap and has nice pod style beds.
The reason I loved it so much is because of the staff, they were all so friendly all the time and so helpful.
They also gave me great suggestions for things to do in Surabaya and also helped me learn indonesia. I will tell anyone who is traveling through Surabaya to stay here I hope I can come back soon.
I do wish they had a guitar a friend had one for one night and it was so nice playing and singing with the guests and the staff it would be amazing if there was a hostel guitar.
What an amazing place with amazing people!

I think this hostel only has good reviews because you get a free drink if you leave them one. The staff are very nice. However, the location is on a main road, unsafe to walk, we walked 3 minutes to a shop and got catcalled 6 times. The beds are decently comfy, but the place is disgusting. There is mould all up the walls, everywhere, stuff leaking. The place stinks of damp and was horrible and my stuff still stunk after leaving. It’s definately not safe. There is also no toilet paper at all in the whole building, and showers are dirty. If you’re backpacking, I would skip Surabaya as it’s really not nice. If you need to stay here, spend more on a hotel.
