A unique place nestled among rice fields, with beautiful mountain views and a pleasant swimming pool, run with great care by a very nice couple. Worth staying longer. The surroundings are wonderful to explore by scooter. Peaceful and cozy. Highly recommended.
This hotel is the perfect choice for a stay before exploring Ijen. The breakfast is delicious, the view from the window is stunning, and having hot water is a real comfort. I’d happily stay here again!

Easily the best place we’ve stayed in Indonesia. The wife/husband owner team are so friendly snd welcoming, and have put such care into the layout and decor of this accommodations. They are beautifully decorated, peaceful, and relaxing with views onto the rice terraces. There are only a few apartments so it will never feel busy. Breakfast was a highlight, with mie goreng, toast and dragonfruits. They also have a little cafe with small western meals available. All in all, I wish we had stayed longer. If you stay, make sure to do the walk up the road through the rice terraces. It goes on for ages (we walked maybe 8km before turning around), with sweeping views of the rice terraces and Ijen and hardly any scooters (and no cars as cars can’t go there). Very peaceful and beautiful. Also recommend the nearby Sakaloka Cafe for the drinks and atmosphere, along with Warung Umbul for dinner!
One quick note: it is easy to get transport to the accommodation from the ferry port, but very difficult to get it out again. It’s very remote in the jungle, and there is not really taxi access. We loved the remoteness but recommend sorting your transport before/after, especially if hiking Ijen on your own.
