The surfing from here is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Empty, clean faced and beautiful waves. There are a few beginner intermediate spots they can drive you to about 20-30mins away.
The staff here is all very friendly. Wifi works decently well considering you’re in the middle of the jungle — I was able to work remotely. Massage is also awesome.
I stayed with a friend in the budget 2 bedroom and it’s 120% worth upgrading to the lux tent as our room was mediocre, AC didn’t work well, shower was usually a drip and we often had a lot of ants in our bed and belongings. The Lux tents we visited and they looked amazing. Not even in the same class of rooms.
In addition, are we were with a surf retreat, the food was extremely mediocre and often I found myself going for instant ramen or wishing I’d just have paid for the full menu.
With all that being said, I’d 100% return assuming I could stay in a Lux tent, had access to the regular menu and excellent massage therapist.
One thing to be aware of, like a lot of Indo unfortunately is the beaches are covered in trash.
