Ijen Haus

A beautiful place with a classic home ambiance, complete facilities, and friendly staff who are very quick to respond. Although my stay was short, I truly enjoyed it. It is a comfortable and peaceful place, and I was very pleased with my experience.

We have book this homestead 3 times.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Even the common area is spotless and very cosy. Water filter, fridge and basic cooking equipment at disposal.
Lots of attention to details, everything is perfect: good bed fittings, shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper and tooth brush provided, enough storage space…
We also enjoyed very much the dining area with the bookshelves and the comfortable chairs.
Last but not least, ask anything to your host and he will do his possible to help you.
This place is not only about making money but making sure the guests feel welcome.

I had a fantastic stay at Ijen Haus. This homestay offers a perfect balance of comfort, cleanliness, and warm hospitality, making it an excellent choice for travelers exploring the area.
The rooms are well-maintained, and very comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The ambiance was peaceful and cozy atmosphere make it feel like a home away from home.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with tour arrangements, transportation, and local recommendations.

We LOVED our stay here. It is the cleanest accommodation we have been to in Indonesia and the owners are so friendly. The owners organised our trip to Ijen which was wonderful and a must do, our guide was great and the hike was wonderful, yet really uphill ahah (leg day! ) We were given bread, jam, butter and fruit for breakfast which was so kind and not expected. If we had any questions they were answered so well. We found the bed to be comfortable, there was a kitchen which could be used for light meals and air conditioning in the room was a treat.

Ijen Haus is a delightful surprise for budget-conscious travelers seeking a comfortable and friendly stay. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. The shared common room, equipped with a quite complete cutlery and kitchen appliances, offers a welcoming space to relax, dine, and socialize with fellow guests. The host and owner are incredibly friendly and accommodating, going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay.
While the amenities may be basic (Soap & Shampoo dispenser, towel, also mineral water), the cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality more than make up for it. If you're looking for a simple, affordable, and friendly place to stay, Ijen Haus is definitely worth considering.

This beautifully decorated 1950s house showcases Indonesian "Jengki" architecture and provides a welcoming atmosphere. It will be even more charming in a few months as the plants grow. There are ample spaces for work, including outdoor areas. The pantry is equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. The large room features a cupboard and comfortable 1960s chairs, while the shower is clean and adequate. Communication is excellent. Please note that since the house is located in a Muslim neighborhood with several mosques nearby, you may hear the early morning calls to prayers, which might not be suitable for light sleepers.
