Rooms are pretty basic but you can argue at the price they are you get more than you pay for between 2. Good location close to the beach and beautiful rice fields. Warungs and laundry close by, coffee / tea and breakfast occasionally, a true Homestay experience with a great family.
Fendy himself though makes the experience a 10, we did Ijen, the Sukamade turtle tour, snorkelling and Bromo. It was fantastic and the highlight of our trip. Although it’s slightly expensive on a backpacker budget you get transport everywhere with the tours, great accommodation and a guide with insane knowledge who organised all our stuff on the fly and made our experience hassle free and amazing.
Yes, you could do it cheaper on your own, maybe, but for us the experience was priceless and wouldn’t have been the same without him.

Fendi is a scammer. We booked a tour with him to see the turtle in the meru betiri park, but the day of the tour, we got a inexperienced guide that did not speak english. That guide did not tell us any correct information at all. When we got inside the park, the road got bumpier. Our jeep broke down after 10 meter of bumpy road. There are so many other tour guides, I would not recommend going with him.

5 starts, everything was perfect! Fendy has a beautiful house and family. When you arrive the house it’s right behind the building. We did the turtle tour with him and it’s was an unforgettable moment. Fendy is so passionate about animals and knows a lot of things. Definitely the best trip we did so far! Don’t hesitate just book there if you want to have a true experience in Java, Indonesia. Thank you again!
