The staff were wonderful and we loved the breakfast provided on both mornings. They managed to arrange a driver (at an additional cost) to collect us from a very far away town and drop us off in Yogyakarta too. Really thankful for that! The driver was incredible as well — they were all super communicative. The Room itself was lovely and spacious — we really liked the way it felt like an eco-lodge. It was close enough to be able to order food from Grab nearby and also to be picked up and dropped off from the area nearby. It's a stunning place to be and, even though we didn't get to use the pool, that was a lovely addition too. When we arrived, we even got to see a monsoon-like storm where the drainage became little rivers that fed down — it was so cute and we both were mesmerised by this all!
The only thing I'd ask for is better soundproofing — the calls to prayer here are not like anywhere else in the world, they can last for hours at a time. This is fine during the day, however, sunrise is sometimes 3-4 am like it was for us. I believe there was a mosque either next door or very nearby. There was also an army of roosters just across the field. They're so loud that I once thought they were let loose under our bathroom, which wasn't the case. For someone who had horrible jet lag, this destroyed my sleep for the first week we were in Asia. I've since invested in ear plugs but I somehow think this might not be enough.
I'd likely stay here again if the above was fixed because everything else was wonderful.
