Review of Hotel Candi Indah - Akpol Semarang 3*

I stayed there on Tuesday, Nov 18 as I had to get massage therapy for my spine. I have ever stayed there on Christmas last year and quite impressed. So I contact the hotel asked for price. The staff said, IDR 385.000 with breakfast for 2 person, 300.000 without breakfast. They said, last year I booked it with breakfast for one person with price 330.000. I am not sure as I got offer on August 2025 that the price for room only was IDR 285.000. The staff said 330.000 with breakfast was the best price. I agree.
I came at the hotel, paid, and went to room 208. I found the shower button a bit broken but fortunately I can fix it; but then I was very surprise found that I only got one bottle of cleo and one towel. I remember, last year I got two bottles and two towels.
How can I make a cup of tea and also drink plain water with just one bottle as the tea maker was quit big? The location of the towels hanger was just directly in front of the shower. So if take a shower the towel will be wet.
I complaint to the front office, as if I paid IDR 300.000 I will get two bottles of mineral water and two towels. It means the price idr 300.000 was for the room, not depends on the number of person. Right? The staff said, yes. I even can got lower price than idr 300.000 if I take room only for one person. However, as I already paid, so cannot be changed.
Why they didn't inform it before? Yes, I can buy another bottle but should go out and it is not for that point. Last year they said, I also paid for idr 330.000. I said, I got 2 amenities there. Also like in other hotels. He said, the rules changed. Now, it is 2025. The price for room only was 300.000. But I got offering for room only on August for idr 285.000. And 385.000 with breakfast for two person. If no breakfast got two for all amenities. I paid more got breakfast but only got one aminities. It should be inform first. That is the principle. Not only about money. But honesty. Maybe better to make it clear, if the room only use for one person, what is the price, with and without breakfast. Not making "ambigu".
Other issue, when I wanted to check out, I asked help for bringing my luggage down. No need trolley. Only need one person to help. But they didn't come and my online driver already waiting and I should be in hurry to catch the train. I met the staff when I already at the lobby.
I also can smell the smoke of the cigarette in my room, eventhouh you said it was no smooking rooms for all rooms.
I know the hotel was quite full b ut if so, the CEO or owner should add the staff. For the reception should more emphaty with the customer if asking for help to check out. Please fix the shower button in the bathroom. The "knobb" was broken so difficult to change from shower to just "washing your feet", and vice versa. Thank you.
