As a foreigner slow traveling around the world for the past four years, I’ve experienced everything—from the great to the not-so-great. Normally, I play it safe and book large hotel chains like Marriott or Hyatt. But this time, I’m glad I trusted my instincts and chose this place instead.
From the food and location to the comfortable room and the incredibly kind hosts who embody the warmth of Javanese culture, this was easily one of the best stays we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back soon.

I recently stayed at a cozy guest house in Purwokerto, and it was a pleasant experience. The guest house has two floors, with the ground floor dedicated to the reception and a small, welcoming restaurant. We stayed in a family room, which was spacious and well-equipped. The two queen beds were comfortable and provided plenty of room. There was also a large flat-screen TV in the room, which was a nice touch for relaxing in the evenings.
The location is convenient, close to the main road, making it easy to explore Purwokerto. The guest house has limited parking, which can accommodate up to three cars, so it’s wise to plan accordingly if you're driving.
