Room spotless, as was the bathroom. Very cordial owner/staff. Motorbike rental — having lived in Indonesia for a LONG time, the island is the safest place for novice riders in the entire country. Bottomless coffee and tea in the common area. And a few minutes' walk to the fresh market (excellent cashews for sale), the port, 3 dive shops, various coffee shops/restaurants, and the central square.
Breakfast supposedly included, but it was not mentioned, ever — this may well be irregular, though, due to Ramadan.
While the homestay has a courtyard, it's a tad grim, surrounded by high walls and with but a scrap of grass — though I'd guess all the homestays in town are similar. It's also only a stone's throw from the main mosque, and the calls to prayer are painfully loud.
This Homestay is really good. Location is unbeatable and the personal is so friendly.

A clean, well-run homestay in a town that bristles with them. Not much of a courtyard to boast about, and (probably because of Ramadan) no breakfast, though the friendly and helpful owners probably would have provided one had I asked. 2 things: the mattress will be soft (good if you like it this way) and the town's main mosque, with its immensely amplified call to prayer, is a stone's throw away.
Motorbike rental is available. The island is the safest place I've encountered in my 27 years living in Indonesia for a novice to learn to control a 🏍️. Ask for a helmet! It's included in the rental cost.
