Noisy neighbors who blasted the music out loud from 4 pm until 3 am. The villa manager didn’t help to sort out the noise. They promised the music will stop at 11 pm, but didn’t warn when the live music continued after 11 pm.

They have a little beach and they have coral you can fish from. Manager is very helpful and super friendly and will go out of his way to make you comfortable and speaks fluent English and bahasa Indonesian which was very helpful. He knows of many things to do including kayaking, swimming, boat to another island that has super clear water and deserted white sand beaches. He will help you get to the market, or drive a moped and get a car rental if you need it. His assistant makes great meals for 1.50$usd as well. There is pizza place 2 minutes away and an Indonesian restaurant 2 min away as well and an unreal Indonesian restaurant 10 min away That you can order from and they will deliver your food. The grounds are nice, well groomed and many nice areas to sit and eat or chat. Beautiful sunsets as well.

We stayed in Anyer for the week, and it was a fantastic experience!
At first, we weren’t sure what to do, but Bob was incredibly helpful with communication with the locals and setting up great day trips like exploring the island Bukit Begal, going snorkeling, doing a tour in the hills (exploring the rice fields), getting massages, going to the fish market, finding the right restaurants, and just being great company :)
He helped us a lot and made our trip amazing—without him, we wouldn’t have done half the things we did! So overall, also a great place for foreign tourists and definitely worth visiting! As well as all the other amazig people and stuff that made a great afford in letting us feel welcomed and showed us the area and especially Hasana for her amazing cooking and hosting.
On that note, thanks again, Bob, for spending the week with us and telling us about all the lives you’ve lived!
