Mayo Resort

A wonderful and beautiful remote spot right on the seafront on the north coast of Bali. A choice between a crystal clean pool and a black sand beach, room was extremely spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. Restaurant was fantastic with a huge selection, and the other services offered by the hotel were all excellent, from the spa to the tours. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Loved the resort, loved the staff, loved the food, loved the location and loved our room. Resort sits on the water with a black sand beach. Excellent views of the sunsets. The staff, grounds and restaurant is 1st class. Spa services were fantastic. The restaurant and food is the best in North Bali. The location is remote (A good thing) and the jungle drive in is an adventure (Very fun). Best value and 5 star experience.

And the Bora Bora restaurant delivers local and international cuisine cooked to order with delicious cocktails too.

Absolutely stunning.

We arrived at Mayo Resort at 10PM, after driving up to North Bali from Canggu. We were greeting by security and taken to a surprisingly lovely villa with a lighted pool, just 5 meters from the ocean. The villa was squeaky clean and we were able to cook some late snacks and enjoy a few drinks outdoors and relax after a long drive. The setting is beautiful, and we awoke to the sunshine and enjoyed a full breakfast at the BORA BORA restaurant.
We went back for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how excellent the food was. After lunch we dived Into the refreshing pool and sunbathed the afternoon away. In the evening we drove into Lovina, which is a 20 minute drive and enjoyed the annual Lovina Festival.
Getting up at 6am on Sunday morning we were treated to a Dolphin adventure and were excited to see a fleet of dolphins diving in and out of the ocean close to our boat! Amazing experience!

Mayo Resort in North Bali is the perfect place to unwind and recharge! It's incredibly peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed. Our villa was beautiful, with super comfortable beds and great water pressure (a small detail that makes a big difference! ). Every evening, we watched the sunset right from our balcony, and every morning we enjoyed a peaceful walk along the beach.
The staff were so kind and helpful throughout our stay, and the food was excellent too. We truly left feeling refreshed and regenerated. Can’t wait to come back!

A beautiful location to completely unwind. From the garden, the rooms, and the restaurant, you have a breathtaking view of the sea.
The rooms are spacious, with good and clean beds. The bathrooms are also generously sized; they show some signs of use but still meet a solid three-star standard.
The restaurant is cozy, and the staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful – all of which contributes to a relaxing stay.
Highly recommended: take an early morning trip with a local boat, departing directly from the hotel, to search for dolphins. A wonderful experience with an impressive number of dolphins – truly many! 🐬

An Unparalleled Retreat at Villa Mayo.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Mayo once again, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This was perhaps my 5th or 6th visit, but my first time staying at Villa Putih—and what an incredible experience! From the moment I arrived, Sumitra and the team extended warm and generous hospitality, making my stay an absolute delight.
Villa Putih turned out to be a stunning location to both work and unwind. The tranquility was unparalleled—I spent my days working undisturbed, with only the soothing sound of waves in the background. The spacious setup, fresh sea breeze, and serene atmosphere made it an ideal retreat for focus and rejuvenation.
A special thank you to the Bora Bora Restaurant staff, who went above and beyond to make every meal an enjoyable experience—delicious food, my special Icey Bintangs, and such friendly service!
Leaving was genuinely difficult! Villa Mayo is a true haven, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle. I’ll certainly be returning soon—thank you again, Sumitra and the wonderful team, for a wonderful experience!

We had a very pleasant stay at Mayo Resort for 3 nights. We stayed at Villa Putih, a spacious villa with private pool at the beach. The villa was nice, with everything you need, we mainly stayed outside, around the pool. The breakfast was good, with different kinds to choose from the menu. And for lunch and dinner was also enough choice. The staff was very kind, always a smile. Great place to start your dolphin trip with a fishing boat, almost in front of the resort, by the time the other 100 boats artive, you're already gone! If you prefer a quiet stay on a small resort then I can recommend.

You will not be sorry if you visit Mayo Resort. If you’re after comfort in a peaceful setting Mayo is beachfront with its own charming restaurant. Staff so friendly, rooms spacious and beautiful. Just go.

We're amazed by the high quality of F&B — love the croissant and grilled bacon for breakfast; the grilled mahi mahi with lemon and butter sauce is a mist try; don't miss the special cocktails Sex in Seririt!

Our family of four absolutely loved the villa at Mayp Resort. The villa is perfect for a family of four. Very clean and comfortable and the views are absolutely fantastic. Sunsets are a must but any time of day is a treat chilling by the pool or relaxing by the ocean. The staff were so lovely and accommodating for anything we needed I can’t say enough about them. We enjoyed trekking to waterfalls, Atving through the jungle and sunrise visiting the dolphins. I would recommend a few nights here for everyone, the vibe is much more relaxed then other parts of Bali and you get such a wonderful experience in the North.

Very friendly staff, 1 hour ride from amazing waterfalls (possible to rent a scooter), not a crowded area and serves very good breakfast. You can find fresh fruit markets on your way with a scooter.

Villa Putih is my 2nd home. Enjoy the sound of nature, peacefully quiet.
Wanna delicious meals, just go to Bora Bora Resto, all the menus I order never disappoint me.
Especially my favorite, chocolate lava cake 💕

If you want peace and quiet, I can't recommend a better place for those looking for tranquillity. We used it as a base to explore North bali and would look forward to coming back as the ac worked very well since we were not used to such humid environments such as Bali.
The pool is clean, and the beach just outside the restaurant is also clean. Be aware that as you are staying in this hotel, it is normal to have lizards and ants around the premises of the hotel. In my experience, I never saw either inside my room, not even mosquitoes.
Restaurant caters to all needs if you want local food they have it and if you want food from back home they have it as well.
The staff are the real highlight very welcoming and extremely kind a credit to the resort. We used the spa treatments available which I also recommend highly. It would be best to use the activities the resort had available rather than book yourself as they are private and lowered priced.

Mayo Resort is a hidden gem: beach-front pristine nature in a tranquil tropical garden setting away from the beaten track. Authentic fishing villages, frequent beachside rituals, long walks along uncrowded scenic beaches with fine volcanic sand right at its doorsteps. Majestic sunsets most evenings.
Its Bora Bora restaurant offers a variety of delicious, healthy foods and drinks at very reasonable prices. The staff is out-of-this world with their ever smiling, immaculate service and respect.
All-in-all, a most memorable experience to someday bring my entire family back to. Highly recommended!
