Where is Villa Manuk located and what is nearby?

The villa is located in an authentic Balinese village in the mountains of North Bali, far from the tourist crowds and surrounded by rice fields, forests, and mountains. Guests note that the location is very quiet and peaceful, although natural village sounds, such as barking dogs and crowing roosters, can occasionally be heard.

I had a truly beautiful and very authentic stay here. The place feels idyllic and deeply connected to traditional Balinese life, which is exactly what makes it so special. The views are absolutely stunning, the natural surroundings and pool are wonderful, and the atmosphere created by the people, the staff, and the owner is warm, kind, and welcoming.
This is not a polished, quiet resort experience — it is something much more real and rooted in local life, and I think that is important to understand when choosing to stay here. With that authenticity also comes the sounds of village life, which are part of the experience.
One thing I did not fully expect (although it is not anyone’s fault here) was the level of noise at night. On a couple of nights during my stay, there was karaoke from nearby homes, which lasted quite late into the night. I would also add that there are many roosters in the area, and they start calling between midnight and early morning hours, often continuing in groups.
For me personally, as someone quite sensitive to noise and trying to rest and regenerate, this made sleeping quite difficult at times, even with earplugs. It might be helpful for future guests who are light sleepers to be aware of this aspect of rural Balinese life.
I do want to highlight that I contacted the owner about the noise, and she was extremely kind and helpful in speaking to the neighbours.

Superb Balinese hotel, surrounded by rice fields, trees and mountains.
Superb, very comfortable king-size beds, but no air conditioning in the rooms. Very nice shower rooms, but outdoors, along with the toilets.
Magnificent, very well-maintained natural swimming pool.
Very welcoming and friendly staff. However, only the manager speaks fluent English.

We stayed at Villa Manuk as a group of four and both rooms were very clean, each with its own bathroom and balcony, and offered a fantastic view of the beautiful mountains and rice fields. The outdoor area of the villa was also very beautiful and featured a natural pool.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, so we felt at home right from the start. The food came fresh from a partner restaurant and was very delicious. The breakfast was also very good and there was always a plate of fresh fruit. In the afternoon, there were additional small snacks, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
We had a very nice and relaxing time there. The quiet location made the stay very pleasant. We can absolutely recommend Villa Manuk and we would come back anytime.
