Amazing place in the middle of the jungle, remote to enjoy the rest with magnificent pool and services including massages, yoga, cooking classes and car/motorbike renting and tour. Thank you to ayu, pupsa, suardana, madi and all the staff. It’s a real paradise! We did the villa and there are amazing as well as the bungalow. Both are outstanding. Thanks.

Incredible architecture and a quiet, comfortable place. It is located in the center of the island, so it’s far from other areas, but they offer motorbike rentals or drivers. The food is tasty and the staff are great — the girls at the restaurant are always friendly, the drivers are always very helpful, and the reception team is quick to resolve any situation.

Whole resort is located in Jungle so some bugs and insects might be seen in the room but the staff of Resort is very helpful in any condition.

My husband and I absolutely loved spending our honeymoon stay at Mesare Resort! The people were so warm and friendly — they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The service was amazing and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The location is peaceful and so relaxing, perfect for switching off and unwinding. It was lovely to come back after a hot day in the town into the cool, dewy forest where Mesare is located. Our accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a really nice feel to it — apart from the gecko droppings which the staff said they’re working on managing, but the resort is in the jungle so wildlife is expected. The hotel staff were what REALLY made the place. A special thank you to Shery, Made (our private driver for all of the days we were there and the most patient man on the island), Sutaya, Puspa, Krisna, Wayan Suardana, Sudiarta, Ningsih, Ayu, Nadia, Indra, Luh Reanty, and Ela. The staff are what make Mesare Resort a place we now recommend to others. Recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with great people and genuine hospitality!

An Unforgettable Stay at Mesare Resort Nusa Penida.
We stayed at Mesare Resort Nusa Penida for three nights, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. The service was superb, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived.
A special mention goes to Shery — she greeted us with a warm smile on our first day and continued to take care of us throughout our entire stay. Her kindness and hospitality truly made us feel at home.
The facilities were excellent, surrounded by peaceful nature and offering a perfect place to unwind. After the business of Canggu and mainland Bali, Mesare Resort was exactly what we needed… a calm, serene, and rejuvenating getaway.
The breakfasts were delicious, the service was attentive, and we loved the chance to relax by the resort while exploring the beautiful nearby beaches and local food spots.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the extraordinary care and compassion shown by the team. One evening, we had a small accident on the road, and the hotel staff didn’t hesitate to help. In the middle of the night, one of the waitresses and her family… her husband and their little boy. Drove out to find us, made sure we were safe, and brought us back to the resort. They refused any payment and did it purely out of kindness. We were deeply moved and couldn’t thank them enough.

Fantastic resort in the middle of the jungle, really felt like we were cut off from the world in a positive manner! The room was excellent, the restaurant was delicious and we had a massage at the spa which was thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend you to stay here 100%

Very nice place, for me it was more than a hotel, it was an experience. Living in wooden houses, in an area of jungle is quite new for a city girl like me, afraid of insects. But everything is provided and overall the rooms are comfortable. Do not expect a classic hotel room, because it is not, and also keep in mind that in the evening and night you will need a sweater, it is quite cool. Food at the restaurant is good and portions, large. Staff is friendly in a genuine, non forced way and make your stay pleasant. For the prices, expect smth close to European ones.

Our stay at this resort was simply wonderful, made even more special by the warm welcome from Sherry at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel at home with her kind smile and helpful attitude. She was incredibly attentive, providing us with all the information we needed and assisting us promptly and efficiently with any request.

The property is beautiful and Wayan and team were extremely helpful and warm. The restaurant team was so kind to us and the food was amazing too! 10/10 — please ask for Wayan when you’re there :)
However, the location was remote and roads were narrow, inclined and unsafe, especially at night. We visited during the monsoons so that was an added discomfort to access the location in the rain.
The rooms are gorgeous! But we experienced a lot of bugs and geckos at night, given the weather. Maybe the summers would be a better time to be here.

Very far from city center allmost 15-20 km, took us more than 1 hour to reach from Harbor.
We booked suite room the room located such bad area covered by bugs n big insects the stay was horrible we are scared to stay in room.

I absolutely loved my stay here! Good food can be hard to come by in Nusa Penida, so we felt incredibly lucky to discover this gem. Not only does it serve some of the best food on the island, but the rooms are also super comfortable, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. I’d definitely come back again!

The most memorable experience which I have ever had. Beautifully located hotel with calm environment, fantastic accommodation in luxury willa with perfect view for a jungle.
The pool is fantastic, food incredibly good and service is excellent including super polite staff, especially the lady at the reception — Shari who supported us during whole stay. The best hotel which I have ever visited.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this stunning resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring our experience was nothing short of perfect. The restaurant served fresh, flavorful, and incredibly tasty food — every meal was a delight!
A special mention to Ningsih and Puspa, who were outstanding servers — their warmth and attentiveness made each dining experience even more enjoyable. The chefs, Surya, Tutyasa, and Sudiarta, truly worked their magic in the kitchen; the food was exceptional and cooked to perfection.
The level of service here is truly top-notch. Krishna, Wayan Sutaya, Ayu, and Shery were also fantastic and made sure we were always well taken care of throughout our stay.
If you're looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and memorable getaway, this resort is a must-stay.

The staff were very kind and attentive. Massage therapist Maya was excellent. The hotel is in the middle of a forest, which is truly beautiful. You feel immersed in nature—endlessly so! But truly endless! When I was looking for a place to book, I saw photos and videos showing window screens for insects. However, when we entered the room, there were no screens. To be clear, there weren’t even any windows. You close the room with wooden shutters, and the interior receives no light. I called the reception, and they told me that, as of 3 months ago, management had removed all the screens from the rooms! They suggested we use the mosquito nets around the bed for insects. If I had known there were no window screens, I definitely would not have come here. We had to sleep with the shutters closed at night and wake up with no natural light in the morning. When we tried to open the shutters a bit in the morning for air and light, a huge wasp came inside.
And then there were the scorpion encounters at night. There was one right next to my bed, and I almost stepped on it in my drowsy state. The next morning, we found another scorpion in the bathroom. It’s unbelievable that they think screens are only needed for flies! If you can overlook these things, the place is beautiful.

It is a good accommodation, but the service was a disaster. We booked at the reception the massage for the next night. The next night we asked if we could do it ealier, but they said they’ve already had a massage booked earlier, so we waited for our massage at the scheduled hour. At 8 o’clock there was nobody at the massage area, we waited for the specialist 15-20mins but no one came. The massage area was dirty, after we cancelled they said that the massage room is under construction so we had to do it at the yoga area. We cancelled the 4 massages for 4 people.
They said that the yoga specialist is on holiday so no yoga class.
The sheets of our beds were dirty.
The driver from our first day came after 20mins of waiting for him at the reception.
The location in the jungle is nice and you need a scooter or a driver to reach any tourist spot, but it is nice to live in the jungle for a few days. The island is arid, droughty so the jungle is not the same as on Bali island.

We had a fantastic experience at Mesare Resort! The unique location is incredibly tranquil, nestled in nature, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Our villa was beautifully furnished, spacious, and offered stunning views of the surrounding jungle, creating a serene atmosphere for relaxation.
A special shoutout to Wayan and Shery for their outstanding service. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We can't recommend Mesare Resort enough for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a stunning natural setting!
