Permata Hill Nusa Penida

I recently stayed at Permata Hill, Nusa Penida, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The room I stayed in was in a poor condition. The cleanliness was below average, and the amenities provided were not up to the mark.
The breakfast provided was extremely limited, with barely any variety. To make matters worse, when I requested an additional omelette, my request was outright denied. This was highly unexpected and disappointing, especially since basic hospitality should include accommodating small, reasonable requests from guests.
The staff lacked any sense of hospitality or warmth. They seemed disinterested in addressing guest concerns and showed no effort to make our stay comfortable or pleasant.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable stay in Nusa Penida. There are plenty of other options available that offer better service and value for money.

It was so bad. The air conditioner wasn't working well. There was no one to call, the staff was rude and very nonchalant. Breakfast was very bad, with option of only either 1 scrambled egg or 1 omelette or 1 pancake per person. The pool was very dirty. And the water in the bathroom was salty to the point I couldn't brush my teeth with it. The door was broken, anyone could come in, no point in locking the doors.

Location is peaceful with great sea view. Infinity pool is good. Room we got was in building. We were family of 3. There are cabins in premises. Room looked like under some maintenance. Water in tap is badly salty. Location is far from harbor.
Better if you can take scooter to go around. There is no restaurant on premises. However good can be delivered to this hotel from a nearby restaurant. Menu is limited. Room was spacious with sea view right from the bed.

Gives a great view.
Beach front, can witness a beautiful sunrise over the sea.
Location is good.
Spacious and room.
Cons.
No restaurant attached, however we can order food from a near by one.
Tap water was salty to the core. We had food at other restaurants near the beach. But water was not salty there.
Ac was not working properly.
We changed to another room because of that and still the AC did not do its job.

I don’t understand the bad reviews!
The rooms provide an absolutely stunning view. The infinity pool with sea view is amazing and the 3 guys that work there are so kind, helpful and warm hearted. The winner of our stay there though is the cute dog Lucy, which we so wanted to adopt. But the guys take such good care of her and are so compassionate about the dogs. We will miss it there.
And here is an answer to some of the reviews below: the water that was provided and that can be bought there is bottled drinking water and does not taste salty. The shower and tap water is salty but firstly everyone should know that you can’t drink that water and secondly: these cottages are up the hill and it is quite common that there is nothing else available than filtered sea water. It’s not Italy, it’s Indonesia.
No one burned any plastic in the 4 days that we have been there and the breakfast is okay. If you don’t like it, then why not give it to the dogs that might be hungry and get yourself a nice breakfast somewhere else.

The view from the hotel is absolutely amazing. You are able to see the beautiful beach below and go swimming in the infinity pool; however, the rooms were not our favorite. The AC was not working as well as we hoped and there are multiple cracks within the bungalows that allow bugs and geckos to come in. The bed was comfortable and the room was big. The bathroom had small lookout holes that also allowed things to come in and the drain did not work well so there was idling water most of the time. If you don’t mind those things then this is a great place to stay but we were not fond of those aspects.

— slippery terrace. It was rainy in the evening, and all over the terrace floor and sofa were drenched in rain.
— less lighting and many insects inside the room.
— slippery and no road lighting at night, at steepy and uneven ramp from the main road into the hotel. (Quite dangerous)
— no reception person when we checked in at around 4.15pm.
— we were shocked when we returned to the hotel at 11.15am. We got scolded by them as the check out time is 11.00am. And we cleared the check out at around 11.40
— can't review the breakfast, as we get out early in the morning and back late passing their breakfast time.

I’ve been 13 days in Bali and for sure the worst place I’ve stay. We booked for 3 days and 2 of them we’ve been without Wi-Fi, when they said it was going to be just one day. The meals are supermarket food that I could prepare in my own kitchen and of course just two options, rice or noodles.
One of my friend got an ear infection because of the seawater, I hate that you dont have option to get a shower or brush your teeth with normal water…
Apart from that they dont have another way to pay them than cash so we lost again time going to the centre get Wi-Fi and get money from the atm.
In conclusion, I will prefer to go other place if someone told me all this before.

The Rooms are Fabulous with the with that you get there. At the day time you can just enjoy the view and at night you would be able to listen the shores of the sea which is right in front of your room.
We were not much comfortable with Balinese foods and had our Indian Maggi thanks to the Host Putra who allowed us using the kitchen and make our own food as you won’t get any Indian restaurant or KFC nearby.
