Penida Bambu Green Suites

Great experience feeling like I’m one with nature! Beautiful outdoor bathroom and lush views of Mount agung, thank you to the Maui for making my penida stay seamless.

We had the pleasure to stay at Penida Bambu Suits in Villa 5 for 2 nights at the beginning of March. Special shout out to Cintia for arranging ALL the transfers from Villa Alam in Seminyak through to arriving at the Suites. Mayu and Era attended to our every whim. They made our stay a delight.
The Villa's are amazing and it was so nice to be out of the hussle of town.

All the staff were wonderful. Special shout out to Prisma, who was an absolute star. Incredibly attentive and lovely to chat with.
The hotel is in a more rural setting away from traffic with a beautiful view, which we absolutely loved.
Scooter rental is available.
The hotel doesn’t have a laundry service but the team can help to arrange something.
It’s worth noting that the bathroom is outside down a steep stair and the path to the sink and loo, etc is created with raised stones. This isn’t necessarily an issue but can get a little tedious if you have to get up at night to go. We knew this beforehand though and still went for it. Would do it again in a heart beat. Just something to be aware of.
Part of the bathroom is covered with a roof. The roof didn’t extend far enough the protect anyone walking around the stair to the sink.
The road to the hotel is on the rougher side do make sure you’re confident on a scooter or arrange for a driver.

It was a unique place to stay and extra ordinary experience if you like to try from regular hotel. The location is far from city and the hotel like in the middle of forest. The staff are nice and super helpful and view is beautiful. If you like staying outdoor and camping this could be the place to consider.

Such an amazing place. The views are gorgeous and it’s so peaceful. The staff were the kindest and so accommodating especially Mayu, Eka and Prisma. Highly recommend this beautiful stay. Pool is gorgeous and the food was lovely. Breakfast in the bamboo suite was such a lovely touch. They organize transfer to ports, tours and scooter rental which is very convenient.

Located in the middle of the jungle, the hotel is only accessible via a narrow gravel road. Offering breathtaking views of the sea and Mount Agung, we were more than happy to trade in fast access to the main road. We enjoyed the lavish outdoor bathroom, the big pool and the room service. A big shoutout to Mayu, who offered incredible service.

The all bamboo experience is awesome. But it has its downside — very shaky and you hear everything. Going up the ladder to the net requires fitness and is not for the faint hearted. If insects are a problem — this might not be the place for you. We enjoyed our stay.

EVERYTHING is bamboo. Very unique resort and villa. Loved the design. Outdoor shower, faux stone tub and sink were nice touch. Infinity pool with a view of Mt. Agung was bonus. Excellent service by the Bambu team. Yes, there are bugs. It is in the jungle. Yes, the road to the resort is rough. It is Penida. There are a lot of steps to get to the suites and within your suite. Not recommended if stairs are a challenge. Highly Recommend.

A very unique experience living in the jungle in bamboo made resort, 30 mins drive from the ferry terminal.
Outdoor shower and washroom were very hot due to weather and a lot of bugs but that's part of the experience.
Views are incredible.
Service is good but the breakfast was average.

We really loved our stay here. Staff is friendly and they answer your questions immediately. It’s a quiet area in the middle of the jungle were you can hear all of the animal sounds. Food is good too. Definitely coming back next time.

We had an amazing time at Penida Bambu Green Suites. We had a wonderful time in the bamboo huts. We were looking for a place where we could fully relax after a full day of exploring the island — and here we could experience that relaxation. At night, you could only hear the sounds of the Indonesian jungle. In the morning, we were served a wonderful breakfast in the restaurant to start the new day perfectly. The best place to spend a few days on the island! Super relaxation and rest!
