Gading Tree House

Gading Treehouse was an amazing place to stay. Stunning views, lovely decorated rooms and super friendly staff. The hotel manager is an absolutely amazingly nice person, very helpful and welcoming. We felt more like visiting grandma than staying at a hotel. ;)

Fantastic experience here. Location is amazing and the service is even better. Rooms are super clean and well designed. Staff greets you with such pleasure always and makes you feel good to be there.

We had such an amazing and restful experience at Gading Tree House in Nusa Penida. The crew was very welcoming and sweet, always available for questions and help, and one of the owner, Novi, was super knowledgeable about the island and the attractions to visit. Listen to her advice, they're the best!
The room was honestly lovely, the pool is bating in sun all day and the area of the hotel is soooo quiet. This is the best place to go if you want to rest, but know that it is a bit remote from the rest of the island (only 10 minutes by car or scooter, which is really not that much). It is preferable also if you like to be surrounded by the sounds of nature! The fauna of Nusa Penida is alive and triving in this area, it is the perfect spot to observe birds all day. The rooms were cleaned everyday, and it is honestly great value for price. Book now! Thanks to Novi and the rest of the team, we had a lovely time :)

The rooms partially in the tree are nice, and there’s a huge pool (only 2 beds though). Staff is very friendly, but not always easy to understand due to the level of English. We stayed two nights, and after the first night when we came back to the room it was cleaned, which was nice (although new bed sheets were not necessary in our opinion). However, they also moved and packed a lot of our stuff in our bags, which felt a bit intrusive (and we had to search for our own things in our own bags…). They also forgot to place a drain cover over the shower drain when cleaning, so I had to deal with a couple of cockroaches…
Lastly the room is not soundproof at all: you can hear everything your neighbours do or say.

Very beautiful, cosy and well-kept accommodation in the middle of nature. The rooms are all built into the trees and made of bamboo. Wonderful terrace to relax on. The staff are very attentive and incredibly friendly. They help with everything immediately and also organise scooters and taxis. I left my bikini there and they even had it sent to Lombok within a few days — wow! That really is service at a high level. And at such a great price… we would come back in a heartbeat. Many thanks to the whole team for everything! You are super :-)

It s a fabulous place. It was so amazing to wake up in this place with the nature around. I love the decoration and the rooms in the trees. Thanks you so much to the gadin tree house team who was so kind and helpful. It was my favorite place in bali.

I slept in the treehouse which was great, felt like sleeping in nature with the sounds of the gecko’s and other animals 😍 Loved the openness of the house, so nice!
Apart from the accommodation, I loved the local people in the street, while walking by all the kids started waving already and shouting your name ❤️ Had some nice chats with the locals there!
The staff of Gading was outstanding! Always friendly, up for a chat or giving me a ride to the diving centre 😃

Everything good. Services when I'm arrived with welcome drink. Staff very good, friendly. But it's will be much better if provide portable aircond. Nowaday weather too hot even location surrounding greeny. Ceiling fan too slow even put level 5. Hope can improve for future.

Very beautiful location. The host will help you with everything. Even with something from the shop. You need a scooter because its far away from restaurants and its a lil bit too hot.

Although it was two months ago, I still have to recommend the Gading Tree House on Nusa Penida Island. All the staff, including the driver and our tour guide, did their best to make our stay an unforgettable experience for the two days my parents and I stayed there.
Especially the manager of this hotel, who was patient and friendly and spoke Chinese! She made my non-English speaking parents feel incredibly welcome. We also cooked chicken noodle soup together on our last night and had a very enjoyable night with them.
Also, I have to mention that before we got to the island, the hotel staff provided us with a detailed guide to buying boat tickets and told us a reasonable price range for transportation. Since we don't know how to ride a motorbike, the staff picked up all of our dinners here for us, which were affordable and delicious.
The tour guide we went with did his best to take countless wonderful photos of us, despite not being proficient in English. Took us to treasure shooting spots he found himself. When we were climbing the mountain, he helped us carry our water bottles and luggage, which was really touching.
I really recommend Gading Tree House to everyone. ♥️

The outside area area incl the pool is just as beautiful as in the pictures.
Staff is nice, but sometimes their English is just not good enough to communicate effectively with hotel guests.
The hotel is beautifully located close to nature, but that means in return you will need a motorbike or private driver to take you anywhere. It's at least a 25-30 min walk along a (partially) very steep road to get to any restaurants or shops. The hotel offers the opportunity to order food from one of the restaurants, which is nice. However, in my case they did not mention the delivery fee. The money was not a big deal, but still an unpleasant surprise.
The walls of the room are also very thin so you hear everything from outside: wild life, people talking or walking in front or above your room etc…
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Gading Treehouse, but there were just these few points that did not make it a 5* experience for me.

This place truly has a beautiful atmosphere. The view is amazing to wake up to. The staff was very helpful, and since we booked the accommodation via Instagram, they let us see all the available rooms and then we got to choose which one we wanted to stay in. They also brought our breakfast to our room every morning <3 The location of Gading Tree House is quite remote but to my understanding this is a common "problem" in Nusa Penida. The owner of the hotel is really so so friendly and wants only the best for their customers. With other staff we sometimes had some language barrier.

Perfect gateway place. We stayed there for Christmas and couldn't have asked for a better place. Super dedicated staff. We felt cared for and quite alone in the jungle which was nice.
Room was stylish and comfortable. Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure to stay here with my friend for a week, and it was the most memorable time we had from our trip to Indonesia. Nusa Penida is such a beatiful island, full of cliffs and stunning beaches, but I must say that it was thanks to Novi, the hostess at Gading Treehouse and the staff, that made it so unforgettable. The breakfast they served every morning was homemade and always with fresh fruits and coffee. You also had the option to enjoy it through your own private balcony with stunning views to their garden and pool. The pool also has views to the sunset, the bathrooms are rustic, in a good way, and well taken care of just as the other facilities. You can also arrange a relaxing massage and motorbike rentals with them very easily. Novi took care of us as if we were family. I would 100% recommend your stay here. It was wonderful!

Place is amazing with polite staff. Such great service and clean rooms with a view of the mountains. It is quiet and relaxing, the breakfast is delicious. I had the pancakes. Beds are comfortable. Though the journey is quite bumpy by car, but it is worth to come and stay.
