A truly magical place.
The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning. “Lost” is the perfect name because you genuinely feel lost in the best possible way – disconnected from the outside world and immersed in nature, beauty, and tranquility. Every corner of the property is charming and thoughtfully designed.
The food was excellent throughout my stay, and the beach is simply breathtaking. Waking up to those views every day felt unreal.
What made this place truly special, though, were the people. The staff were incredibly warm, genuine, and welcoming. A special thank you to Suta, Ikke, and Ari, who made my stay unforgettable with their kindness, positive energy, and care. They are wonderful human beings and a big part of why this place feels so unique.
If you’re looking for a place to slow down, reconnect, and experience genuine Balinese hospitality, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I already miss it.

One of the best hotel experiences I have had in my life!
Everything feels personal. You can really feel how much attention to detail is put into each step.
Some examples are: Personalized pick up from a destination of your choice with handwritten welcome cards and snacks, caring staff members who know you by name and remember all your preferences during your stay, well timed cleaning and turndown service and even assisting with shopping on a local market so you don’t have to get up at 6 AM. Amazing!
Everyone is authentic and helpful. You don’t get standardized greetings and sayings. Everyone and everything is unique.
The whole architecture is breathtaking and just being here feels like a cleansing of your soul and body. The beach is the most beautiful on Bali (if it doesn’t rain 😅).
We loved the bone fire every evening and never missed it once.
Food is on Michelin star level. Never ever did I have such great vegan food. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff!
Other guests are generally open minded as well. Maybe except for some who didn’t really understood the concept before coming here.
I love the shared places and community idea but it falls a bit short with its implementation mostly because people stay on average 3 nights. To make it really work a minimum stay of 5 nights would help a lot. Maybe even paired with a batched like system (fixed check in and check out days with minimum stays of x nights). But I guess that’s hard to implement.

Our stay at Lost Lindenberg was excellent. The accommodation maintains a beautiful layered garden / jungle around the property, wrapping the treehouse-style rooms in luxurious seclusion.
My partner and I loved the food, which was why we selected Lindenberg in the first place. With all the food at Lindenberg being plant based, not having to advocate for vegan food added to the relaxing atmosphere. The gyoza were a particular delight. The communal aspect of dinner was a great feature. We enjoyed getting to know another couple staying at the hotel amidst their travels in Southeast Asia during dinner. We also appreciated another getting to know a wonderful family that we later happily chanced upon in the streets of Ubud.
The showers had copious hot water and the best smelling shampoo and body wash.
The hotel opens directly onto the beach, where we had a wonderfully quiet stretch almost entirely to ourselves. We also signed up for a surf lesson as complete beginners. On the way to the beach, I enjoyed vegan banana bread that had been packed for my breakfast. The surf lesson was great. Our coach, Eddie, was patient and a skilled instructor. Despite plenty of wipeouts, we both managed to catch our first waves by the end.
The staff were consistently warm and helpful, including arranging a private car to Ubud when we couldn’t secure one through Grab. They even sent us off with a generous snack box of banana bread and roasted peanuts.
