We stayed at Rumah Luwih Bali and had a bit of a mixed experience. The resort itself is beautiful in terms of the common areas. The grounds feel really grand and the beachfront setting is nice and peaceful.
The staff were also genuinely lovely and very welcoming throughout our stay, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately the rooms felt quite run down compared to the rest of the property and ours had a damp smell which made it feel a bit less comfortable than expected. The location is also quite isolated, so there isn’t much nearby which is worth keeping in mind when booking.
Overall, it has potential and the shared areas are beautiful, but the rooms could definitely use some updating.
The people who work here are incredibly kind and thoughtful. They really show that they care. The only thing I would recommend is that they improve the gym. The gym was small and smelled bad. I think you could easily rearrange some of the equipment and replace the flooring and put up a mirror or two and it would be great. The location is on the beach but swimming is not advised. We had to get a taxi to eat outside the hotel. There seems to be an issue with the local taxi's and Grab drivers so it made me location a little isolated. Great restaurant service by staff.

We’ve always enjoyed staying at the Rumah Luwih Bali. It’s not a massive hotel, which actually adds to its charm and character. From the moment you enter the main lobby, it gives you the feeling of stepping into the sort of elegant tropical home you would dream of owning yourself.
The grand staircase in the lobby feels straight out of an old movie, and the views across to Nusa Lembongan are simply mesmerising. We always book a sea-view room because sitting quietly on the terrace with a book, listening to the sound of the waves, is wonderfully relaxing.
Krisna Maheswara, the duty manager, was extremely helpful during our brief stay and added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel.
