Devi's Place

Dewis place is a hidden gem away from the hustle & bustle of Ubud. I stayed in Jacaranda Villa for four nights. Overlooking rice fields, it was beautifully appointed, with a full kitchen including modern appliances, local charm & a private pool.
The garden & surrounds are well maintained giving it a very zen and grounding feel.
The whole compound is very secure with cctv in the important places & staff onsite 24/7 so as a solo traveler I felt safe, relaxed & at home.

We had such an amazing stay at Devi’s Place in Ubud. The villa was absolutely gorgeous and felt like a little paradise. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Outdoor bathroom is stunning. Whole place was very clean. Breakfast each day was delicious, especially the fresh fruit!
What really made our stay special was the staff. Putu was incredible — so friendly, attentive, and always quick to respond. She helped us arrange things even at the last minute (like scooter rental, massages, and trips) without any trouble at all, and gave us great recommendations too.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Devi’s Place, and we’d definitely love to come back. Thank you so much for everything!

Great place.
Very professional and friendly staff.
They will assist and help guests with everything.
Pool is warm and good to swim even in rainy season.
Rooms have air conditioner.
No smell of mold in rooms.
Beds are soft, but in 1 of rooms bed is small for 2 people middle size.
2 local cats very sweet and friendly will escort you at the terrace.
Breakfast is good (as for me a little missing more vegetables)
Place is quite.
Wifi connection the best that the terrace, but weak in the rooms.
Territory of the vila very green and pretty.

Devi’s Place is a peaceful oasis with beautifully kept gardens, very clean bungalows and very polite attentive staff. Our Villa had lovely furniture and artworks and was so comfortable. I recommend this place 💯 Thank you Ketut and his team 🙏

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Mandala Villa. The location was perfect—close to restaurants, shops, and major attractions, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The villa itself was well-designed and very comfortable. What really made our stay special was the staff, who were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. We would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Devi's Place. From the moment we booked, Putu was in constant communication with us about arrival, airport transportation and our accommodations. We stayed in Lotus cottage the first night and then moved to Villa Mandala for the remainder of our stay (4 nights). Lotus cottage was the perfect place to destress after our long journey to Bali. Villa Mandala wasn't available our first evening but once we moved in there, we had the most relaxing time! The pool was amazing and the Villa has everything you will ever need and so much space.
The location is perfect — just far enough away from Ubud center to escape the bustle but close enough to take a Grab bike and be downtown in 10 minutes. We also did walk out first day and it was also not bad. There is a store close by for anything you could need and we got food delivered with ease on days we didn't want to leave the villa.
Our stay was amazing and we'd recommend it to anyone coming here.
A special thank you and praise for all the staff at Devi's place — they were all wonderful and the most welcoming and accommodating people.

Simply the best stay of my life in South East Asia.
As an avid traveller from Canada, I usually stay at chain hotels like Accor/ Hilton, which more or less all look/feel the same.
Devi’s place has a strong personality, and makes you feel one with the community. Being in ubud, this is exactly what I needed.
— As a boutique hotel with many staff, the quality and effectiveness of service is superb.
-Location is a 10min ride to ubud centre, which is both close enough to the action and far enough to have a quiet stay.
-What really stood out was the cleanliness, which I was very impressed by despite being surrounded by greens everywhere you see.
All in all, as long as you don’t mind being waken up by birds, having a rice terrace as your backyard, and meeting the friendliest staff, I highly recommend Devi’s place Ubud.

Great location, just a 30-minute walk to the center, and the walk itself is very beautiful. A quiet and safe place, with clear rules like no noise before 10 AM or after 10 PM. It’s always peaceful and very cozy. Breakfast is delivered to your room according to your wishes, the rooms are very comfortable, and the outdoor bathroom with a shower under a palm tree is fantastic! The kitchen has all the utensils if you want to cook. I stayed at Villa Lotus with a private garden. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Villa Delight with our four kids and it was perfect. The design of the villa, the furniture, it was handcraft and all of an outstanding quality. The environment was quiet. We just loved it and we really want to come back. It was on a good distance from Ubud.

I recently stayed at Devis place for 10 days with my two kids and we loved it there. It’s such a beautiful place to stay surrounded by rice paddies. The villa is gorgeous and very private. The staff are so easy going and a pleasure to interact with. They helped us with all our transport needs, accommodated the kids breakfast requests every morning and we just delightful. Highly recommend if you want to get out of Ubud and feel relaxed, this is the place to do it. Lovely places to eat near by and a cute village to explore.

We stayed at River Cottage — the one without a pool. Absolutely beautiful, all the amenities we needed and having breakfast brought to us every morning was delightful. We rented a scooter for 3 days which we arranged through Putu, very smooth and easy. The bed was super comfortable. The location is around 6/7 minutes by scooter from the main attractions — walkable but easier to jump on a moto taxi. We loved our stay here!

I’m so glad I stayed here at Devis place, we had Villa Intani and it was so spacious, the Wi-Fi was great speed, the villa was cleaned everyday and the staff were amazing, the owners/managers of the place were very helpful and kind. They got our laundry cleaned for us, and they had a helpful pamphlet of what’s around eg spa places and restaurants, I highly recommend staying here in ubud for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

I’ve stayed at Devi’s Place over 4 times and each time was better than the last. In total I’ve spent 4 months living in different villas and I can honestly say there isn’t a better place to stay than this. The staff is fantastic and so friendly, the villas are very attractive and I love the location far enough from the noise but close enough for a quick drive. Also having direct access to the rice fields is so special. There are lots of great restaurants just a quick walk along the rice fields. Don’t miss the chance to stay in this wonderful place.

We’ve stayed at Devi’s Place Ubud almost every year for six years now, always booking Villa Bella because of its tranquility, and scenic views. For us, Villa Bella has always been more than just a place to stay. It's where we’ve created countless special memories, especially with my partner's mom, who visits Bali annually from Holland. Living in Seminyak, a noisy and bustling area, we deeply value the peaceful, quiet environment Devi’s Place used to offer.
Unfortunately, our recent stay was a major disappointment, and it’s made us question whether we’ll return. Despite our loyalty, the management didn't seem to value our concerns.
When we arrived, there was an ongoing event right next to our villa, which lasted almost the entire stay. Although we respect and appreciate Balinese culture, the noise made it difficult to enjoy the peace we came for. Our house in Seminyak is quieter than our experience at Villa Bella this time, and that says a lot.
The most frustrating part was that no one from Devi’s Place informed us about this annual event beforehand. Had we known, we might have rescheduled, sparing us this frustrating experience and this review. Although management moved us to a quieter villa for the loudest night, the noise continued on other days, and the solution felt like too little, too late.
My partner and his mom expressed our disappointment, but the response from management felt dismissive.

Wonderful stay in a lovely villa.
The staff were excellent and very helpful.
Bedrooms are large and comfortable, with excellent water pressure in the bathrooms. Fully equipped and clean kitchen with a large fridge.
The sunsets are stunning in the evening.

We stayed two nights in the River Cottage and it was absolutely wonderful! As a mother with a young child it was so great to have our own little villa, with a garden to play in and a stream running underneath. The balance of having our own kitchen facilities but also the attentive staff present when you needed it. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.
