Good View… good room love it.

We had a wonderful stay at The Black Penny. Private suite with private pool. All meals are available in the private room. Very good room service and high privacy. Just great.

Had a very wonderful experience staying in one of their villas. Very relaxing and spacious room. Bathroom comes with both standing shower and bath tub. The place is quit hidden from the main street but its okay coz it just gave the villas more privacy and exclusivity. The resort is a just a small property but the ambience is very superb. Perfect for a getaway. Their private infinity pool with a very magnificent view is another level. Above all, the service of all their staff is AMAZING. Everyone is friendly and accomodating. Always extending help to make our stay a memorable one. Will definitely reccommend this place and hope to return when I visit ubud again.

This is a absolutely beautiful place. The staff cant do enough for you, always welcoming and happy. The views are a dream come true.

Stayed in these villas in 2014 during our honeymoon and they were absolutely gorgeous with a breathtaking, un-interrupted, private view of the forest. Staff were very helpful and everything was perfect :)

Nice place, all liked. Breakfast is free of charge in the room. Ordered a back massage, as a result of an hour deformed the whole body.

Our villa had private pool looking directly into the river at the middle of the valley with an absolutely epic view. Toilet was outside which was a downside for me, some lizard was stock in one corner of the ceiling abd we could hear its sounds doring the night. And you had to take the stairs from/to your villa from the reception which was tiring especially after along day : ( However staff were friendly and you can joint the temple beside you in their prayers and ceremonies if you wish to Totally deserve 5 stars for the view and the staff there!

Black Penny Villas verry recommended villa with good view, best private swimming pool, peacefull place and wonderfull nature, provide very good services all the time, recommended to all tourist especially honeymoon. All the best and hope always the best.

The room and the private pool are awesome. What a view.! Very clean and comfortable. Service is good. Near Ubud. The hotel offers you a shuttle to go to Ubud city center. Book villa 9 or 10 to get the best views.

A vista do quarto é incrível. O atendimento dos funcionários foi excelente e a decoração é um charme. Peça para levarem o café da manhã no quarto. Vale muito a pena e você ainda pode aproveitar a sua piscina particular. Fiz o passeio de rafting e gostei muito, mas esteja preparado para subir e descer muitas escadas.

Before I get into the good bad and UGLY let me say that if you are seeking privacy and a resort stay in Ubud, pay a little more and go to Komenaka! I say this from my own experience and wished I had done the same. The good 1. Infinity pool with our room 2. Nature and view The bad (oh where do I begin! A lot to do with comparison with other places we've stayed in Bali) 1. Lack of preparation — according to them the honeymoon prep is the swans with our bath towels! While in other places roses were a minimum. As per our request alcohol was not removed from the room. There were no bath or hand towels as they expected us to use the ones someone wrapped them into swans on our bed! Towels and bed sheets have stains on them! There were no facial tissues on arrival in the room. The person showing us the room couldn't find the mini bar price list! Did not know how to turn on lights in the room! The bathroom door to the outdoor pool deck was open leaving insects to come into the room. 2. Lack of personalizarion. Although they have only 10 private villas but the reception has no way of knowing who is calling them and they would ask each time which room number while in other places they would know you by name! Despite asking us to fill our allergens at check in (we asked for halal and no alcohol or bacon) we were still provided bacon on our eggs the first day! 3. Toilet seat was filthy — had to ask them to get cleaned 4.

Great view… excelent staff.

Wonderful environment to take a rest with easy transportation to Ubud centre. Each room includes a balcony with a small pool overlooking the forest, the view, the fresh air and the sounds of nature are an excellent combination to relax after visiting the nearby temples or making a good bargain in one of the markets of downtown Ubud. The staff is very friendly and considerate. Be careful though to shut the balcony door very carefully​, otherwise on a rainy night you may receive tiny mice as unexpected visitors from the forest :)

Pro: The view is awesome. Con: Staff is a bit uneducated. It wasn't possible to change money. It was recommended by the owner to order more instead of giving the correct amount back. We had to wait appr. Half an hour getting our money.

It's a long hike down to the rooms, but the views of the Ayung river are splendid. Meals are served in the room on request.

Amazing, sensational, awesome, wonderful, romantic place. Lovely staff. Perfect private villa for honeymooners in Ubud Extremely recommended.

Great place. Spend my honeymoon here. The villas are just super and the private pool is amazing. Staff are super friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for everyone.
