We don't have the words to describe the magic of this place. Hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed at. We booked 5 nights in the one bedroom villa with private pool with the intention of moving elsewhere in bali but we loved it so much that we decided to stay at como shambhala for the rest of our holiday. So we extended for another 6 nights. What makes this place so special… where to start. The magical grounds with far reaching views over the mystical jungle treetops, a wellness and spa set up that is the best in the world to reset and rebalance you (my partner had reconstructive surgery on the knee and the acupuncturist was such top class that the issue dramatically improved after just one session) and you also get unparalleled quiet and privacy… since every room or residence has its own pool you usually have the pools and spaces to yourself. No fighting over sunloungers. The food is so incredibly nutritious and clean and your dietary intolerances are strictly respected that really you start to physically glow after a few days eating there. I loved the food so much I did a cooking course with the head chef to learn their secrets. The staff were impeccably trained. The best service we have ever experienced. They preempt what you need before you even know it yourself. You are assigned a personal assistant who is in charge of arranging anything you might need from dinner recommendations and reservations to organising activities and pick ups / drop offs.

This is an ideal place to come rest, restore and connect with oneself and nature. The sercice is excellent and the treatments are stellar. Not to mention the food, I have no words to describe the variety of taste, combinations of flavors in each cuisine and diet focus. I happened to badly sprained my ankle on day 2 and received some amazing care immediately; I was able to walk pretty quickly and heal naturally and efficiently, so I can enjoy and continue my discovery. A big thank you to Nancy, Sudaya and Widi, my healers and to our personal attendant Ayu and Dayu and to all Como Shambala personel who contributed to this excellency. Namaste!

Good food and good ambience. Nice service from all the staff and also the personal assistant Mr. Purna. His has a good smile and served us well… This hotel cannot be compared because its has different way of hospitality.

Haven’t been to any better vacation in terms of relaxation! If you’re staying here then make sure you don’t plan any outing for a couple of days.

Loved it. Don't forget to go on a walk down to the fresh spring water pools. We went in March and it was fantastic. No kids under 10, as it's a wellness retreat, which is entierly understandable. Extra activities like guided bicycle rides through the rice fields are a good way to experience the traditional Bali and explore the interior of the island. Ubud is a short drive away courtesy of the hotel. The place is simply stunning.

Beautiful experience. However, if you're American, please avoid drinking any water, even from the waiters, that isn't bottled. They assure you it's safe, but it's not.

In the middle of the jungle. Pure nature. Great food, individual menu prepared according to your needs and compatibilities. The plan of your activities will be compiled for you after a consultation. Yoga, pilates, ayurveda, massage…
The facility is not for Gehebehinderte or anyone who does not like to climb stairs. There can be 95 steps to get from your room to the resort goes out.

One of the most beautiful hotels i've ever seen. Its natural surroundings is just awesome. Service here is terrific too, friendly, fast and helpful. Perfect getaway spot!

Not sure about Hadley Steves review posted below, but let me say this. I have stayed in some of the worlds best hotels over the years but nothing I have stayed in yet can hold a candle to this place. It's a place of peace, set amongst the real forests in Bali. Service is faultless and nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are both attentive, and discreet when attending to us and to our villa. As for the food, I can only say that if you don't like the food then you must be a bit of a fusspot! It's all cooked wher you can see it, and the kitchens and cooking staff are spotlessly clean. In terms of value, well, our three bed villa with palatial master bedroom and rainforest balcony, garden, infinity pool, jacuzzi, kitchen lounge etc etc is $1075 a night sleeping three couples with a massive breakfast included. In my book for one of the worlds foremost hotels that's a pretty good deal. Besides which if you want the best then you have to be prepared to pay for it. If you don't want to pay then book something more run of the mill. The thing is that often when staying in hotels you pay for the best but don't always get it. Here you do.

The most fantastic hotel I ever been.

Large estate with breath taking views. Wonderful staff. Room was odd. No night table to put your glasses or reach for water. No seating to watch TV just on a dressing cushion. The bedroom is like a tree house in luxury. Lots of comfy pillows and duvet. We used the outdoor tub. Loved it. All lite up with candles. Sweet. The breakfast hot meals look beautiful but tasteless. I had the pumpkin pancake and salmon. Pretty but no flavor. The breakfast area is an old jolo renovated. Just lovely. It was relaxing and 2 nights was not enough. I would suggest dinning out into Ubud. Bit pricey and small plus there is a 21% tax on the food. Try Bridges, Spice or Locavore for some amazing food experiences.

Excellent stay at a very nice large private villa on the edge of the Estate called Villa Pita Linggar — very good value for money, nice breakfast and plenty of Estate activities. Would recommend highly.

This is the best pleace in ubud payangan bali. First time I come here with my customer and stay here just 3days and I think just this is the good place if u want to stay and relax in bali. Is the best for ever.
