Villa kubu in Gitgit is by far one of the most tranquil places I have ever visited. The serenity and calm of the natural environment are truly unmatched. Gede is an amazing guide and caretaker and will move mountains to treat you as part of his family. He's very knowledgeable of all the best places to visit in the North and always gives the best. The accommodations are spacious and are a quiet recluse away from the busy South of Bali. Finally but not least Gede and his lovely wife putu really make you feel at home in the jungle tops and truly make you feel like you are a part of their family. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing and authentic Bali homestay near the lush waterfalls of Gitgit. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back many times. 5/5 stars.
We first met Gede five years ago during our initial visit to Bali when we visited the Gitgit Waterfall. We were fortunate enough to have him as our guide, and he was so exceptional that we ended up booking him for a week-long tour around the island. We've stayed connected through Facebook ever since, so when we returned to Bali, we knew we wanted to visit him again—this time staying at his beautiful villa.
Villa Kubu GitGit is a lovely two-bedroom homestay nestled in the peaceful mountains. The rooms are spacious, with a cozy living area and a well-equipped kitchenette. Gede’s warm hospitality was as genuine as ever, and this time we had the pleasure of meeting his wife and children. His wife is not only incredibly kind but also a phenomenal cook. She prepared all our meals during the stay, and I can honestly say her nasi goreng is the best I've ever tasted.
Before we left, Gede guided us to three stunning waterfalls we hadn't seen during our last visit. Each one was breathtaking, especially the one with the swing! If you're in the area and seeking a tranquil mountain retreat, I highly recommend Villa Kubu GitGit. Be sure to explore the waterfalls with Gede—it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Wonderful time! We left like true family guests and enjoyed spending time with our hosts. The place is nice, very clean and spacious. The home cooked meals were amongst the best Balinese meals we had and the visit of the waterfalls was wonderful. Our daughter played with our host’s kids and was very sad when we left! Everyone was just so nice and welcoming.
