Very beautiful hotel, ideal location for the ascent of mount Batur! Possibility of local guide and climb at night. A beautiful experience, and it landscape… Stunning! Don't be afraid to pay 500k rupees to the room, the place is worth a visit, as the home of the owner, who will take the time to discuss with you to share a moment and explain to you its local production of coffee (tasting possible).

Perfect position for hiking Gunung Batur and amazing sight of the lake (especially from the pool! )! The hosts are all very welcoming and friendly! I slept in one of the tent that was clean and scented; the bed was very comfortable! All the area is well-finished! Good energies are spread all over. I really recommend!

As far as hostels go, this place is amazing! The bed was comfortable, the views were amazing, the food was good and the morning hike up Mt Batur was beyond incredible! It's also really close to a number of hot springs making it a perfect stop (beautiful and restful at the same time).

Great place to stay, owner and staff friendly and honest, tell you prices up front, they also organize activities like climbing Mt Batur or going to one of the hot baths on the shore of the lake. Food was very nice and cleanlyness was okay.

Absolutely fantastic stay — one of the better hostels I've stayed in in Asia. Absolutely gorgeous location, incredibly kind staff, great organized trips to Batur, and a stellar hot spring pool. My only very mild complaint is that the food menu is quite limited and considers almost solely of fried food — but overall it certainly didn't detract from a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience at Black Lava Hostel. The staff are very friendly and super accommodating. They gave me and my friends complimentary fried bananas and beer one day when we were lounging in the hot spring. It's a super nice place to chill and even get some work done as the Wi-Fi connection is strong. The food is pretty basic but totally fine just for a night or two. It's super close to the base of Mt. Batur so I'd highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful place. Nice room with lake views and comfy bed and nice shower (though hot water may run out of you take a long shower). A bit of a hike to get up there. Uneven and Rocky and muddy, so go slowly with your motorbike. There is a pool with water from the hot springs pumped in. The view from the pool is awesome! Look upon the lake and the mountain. You can arrange a volcano hike there. Restaurant was decent.

Amazing sunrise trekking tour! Our guide spoke English very well and was super friendly. The hike up Mt Batur was challenging (there is an easier route too) but we loved it. We were treated like royalty at the top of the mountain as we watched the sunrise and viewed Mt Agung. Our guide cooked up eggs with the volcano steam, coffee and sandwiches. Afterwards we soaked in the natural spring water pool and ate more food. This was the perfect way to end our stay in Bali. If you like hiking and adventure you must do this tour at Black Lava Hostel!

Great hotel, great guys and host-very friendly. The pool with hot water was very helpful after climbing. Fresh air at night. Sleeping perfectly. The most near hotel to Batur. Minus the whole valley is flies, but they're everywhere, alas. The rest is super.

Best hostel if you want to climb the volcano Batur. Cheap but nice. Best part is the hot spring open pool with the best view! Breakfast, coffee tea with cookies is included. There is guides to the top. Be careful — the road to hostel is too bad :)

Best Hostel in Kintamani. Honestly, most friendliest service I ever received as guest, even compared to a hotel. What makes them so f***in special is their natural hot spring pool with lake view. I spent 3 nights and 2, 5 days there, my highlight of the year so far. Internet is also available. It's a sensation to held an online meeting with the sunset on Batur lake teasing in front of you. Besides that you can also hikes to Batur Mountain in the morning to catch the sunrise. Agoda might said they are full booked, but can call Bli Yon (the owner) to check availability on last minutes. the best!

Arriving to that place and watching the amazing view was just breathtaking… beautiful! The cherry on top of course is to have a beer on the hot spring pool… what else can I say?

Best place EVER! Perfect spot with crazy view, the owner and his staff are amazing and really care about their guests. We spend the day here because it's probably the best spot in town. The pool is more like a jaccuzzi since the water is heated by the volcano. Also the rooms and bathrooms are really cute and clean! Idon't want to leave! Thank you guys :)

A great place to stay with very cool and friendly staff. The surrounding area is quite rural so the facilities are simple but everything is clean and well kept. Good Wi-Fi, bintangs aplenty and amazing view from hot springs. Yon is a great guy.

If you're a nature lover, this is definitely a place for you to visit! With their location on top of a mountain and the lake view, it's breathtaking during the day while for night fall, you can swim in their hot spring and enjoy star gazing. Temperature up there is cold, so you might want to bring a thicker clothes or a jacket. What's more, the hostel owner is very friendly and he'll be happy to show you his coffee plantation and how it's processed to coffee beans.

One of the best hostels! Friendly and helpful owner helped arrange many things for us! The view here is just beautiful, coupled with it's very own hot springs, it's simply a good escape from the busy city life near the beaches.

Great staff, clean rooms, amazing views. Unfortunately Kintamani as very little to do so it's only worth coming to climb the volcano, but the staff really do everything they can to make your stay comfortable.

Really good place to stay. Super-friendly owner (Yon), amazing view. Nice food. When we arrived it was fully booked but we were offered a tent and had an amazing mountain view. Hiking tour to the top of the Batur Volcano is fairly priced.
